I hope she’s feeling good about it and that it gives her the boost she was looking for. Honestly, we all reach that point where a little maintenance can feel tempting. 🥲 I guess I'm lucky I don't have the money.
@mindstruggle i would have to think a thousand times also if i really wanna do it

Personally, I have never had a positive reaction to anyone's plastic surgery.
But I can say things like, "Oh! You had surgery! Are you happy with how it came out? Fantastic. They did a great job."

I think when people in your circle start doing stuff like that, you will start to feel pressure. Personally I think elective surgery is insane. So much can go wrong and often does .
@Selah i feel bad for her. She is naturally pretty but i think the separation hit her so bad. And the midlife crisis too

@BloviatingBuffoon 🤔so as this actually the reason he left her because of her personal features if so that is a rather lame excuse and she is better off without him. if she has spent this money on this surgery her choice naturally was it worth the expense as beauty is in the eye of the beholder and another man may see her in a different light as she was
DownTheStreet · 56-60, M
Tough to judge, really. Tough situation. Just focus on how she feels and leave the surgery out.
Saage · F
@DownTheStreet I agree with this.
Tumbleweed · F
I think if she feels good about herself, it's fine. But she should have done for HERSELF, not anybody else. Ever.
@Tumbleweed i agree
When I think of the resources (including doctors and their paths through medical school) allocated to purely cosmetic surgery (I don't mean for something more serious like a burn victim with major disfigurement) and servicing human vanity in general (like dentists now focusing on teeth whitening above all other aspects of actually necessary dentistry) ... I wonder what other more pressing medical problems could've been solved with these same resources having been allocated more rationally and logically, and any deviation from that more rational allocation being prohibited by law
There's a baseline amount of collective narcissim and obliviousness society has to have to say, inaccurately, that servicing vanity comes without any cost to society ... that same collective narcissim and obliviousness of course manifests in multiple fronts in society, so the vanity issue is far from unique and far from the only drag on civilization

@BlueGreenGrey it’s not free

Hey if it makes her feel better about herself, why not, she's not hurting anyone by getting plastic surgery.
JackDaniels · 46-50, M
@Fallflower Agree.

The real solution for looking younger isn’t surgery, it’s hormone supplementation
It’s how Christie Brinkley looks so young for someone who is about twenty years older than she looks
It also costs her about $250000 yearly
