If you consider....

...all the random crap it stores whether you need it or not...

Ever think your brain is the junk drawer of your soul?

Ever so often, yes.
Degbeme · 70-79, M
Yes. Next question.
Degbeme · 70-79, M
@Punxi Yeah and myrrh. Those two fell out of favour, while gold never did.
Punxi · F
@Degbeme Did you poop in a wooden box outside?

🤔
Degbeme · 70-79, M
@Punxi Wooden box? That was the rich neighbourhood. We just has a hole in the ground.
Livingwell · 61-69, M
I try to purge the junk and keep the good stuff.
I've never thought of it like that, but now I can't ignore the comparison
4meAndyou · F
Nope. ALL junk can BECOME beauty!!!

😉
Kiesel · 56-60, M
Every now and then, yep
Punxi · F
@Kiesel I feel like I been carrying around shit from the 70s...and I wasn't even born yet..lol

I think about every commercial that convinces us we need this, whether we do or not. We buy it and don't use it. It just collects dust.
Pretzel · 70-79, M
garbage dump
Punxi · F
@Pretzel Scrap heap indeed
Pretzel · 70-79, M
@Punxi At least it isn't a cesspool :)

Absolutely. You can remember the exact price of gas in 1974 and a cringeworthy thing you said in eighth grade, but the keys are a total mystery. It's like the soul's junk drawer, no index, no organization, and a filing system that's seen better days.
Punxi · F
@HumanEarth Indeed...

I can recall the most mundane random events...that really have very little value.

Then...then my subconscious scrolls through and creates a dream scape out of the ruble just before I wake.

A colleague once suggested that you are everyone in your dream
....since your the mind that digs it up.

A scrap heap. Endless horizon of you.

🤯

Your right

You know, I remember this thing when I was so little, maybe three, maybe four. My dad was out there working on the car and I was just probley getting in his way, you know? And my mom, she showed me how to pick up stones with my toes. And I just thought that was the neatest thing. I've never forgot it to this day.

That's weird, but cool memory for me

It stores the junk.
And hides the valuable answers.
