I think most of them are just really lonely and attention seeking people. They are probably not very interesting on their own, and their lives are probably too dull for them to be able to THINK of an interesting post...and yet they still want people to talk to them. Hence the dumba$$ posts of things they could look up for themselves. The whole POINT is that they want to talk.

In a way, yes. Because as I’m sure you well know, this place is about more than seeking simple information. It’s about making social connections, oftentimes very limited for these people. Many do use those posts as a way of satisfying their need for human contact, reaching out from their loneliness and solitude.

I use duckduckgo, event though they have some bias issues. Tried brave and the web scraper isn't as good. Duckduckgo is good enough for me.

I think I'm using the yahoo browser .. you can mute those types or change your feed settings so you don't see them
