Do you fear abandonment? Have you overcome it?

I’ve overcome it very poorly, by never again letting anyone get close enough to be in a position where they could abandon me.

Just the opposite. I wanted out on my own so bad, I just walked out with a bag or two and did it. I live alone, I take care of my business by myself and I'm very content.

I've gotten better with it. I figure people will either stick around or won't. It makes me sad when they don't, but there's no use in worrying about whether they will or not. I heard a quote recently that went something like, "he who lives in fear about what might happen has already experienced it". That really resonates with me.

That's been an ongoing struggle for me ..but I'm doing my best with that

I no longer fear it I think because I've gotten too used to it.

It became too normal

I do. 😞 And no, I haven't. But I'm trying to count my blessings and remind myself that I'm not alone right now.

No because I guess I've never been in a situation when it would seem like a real threat.
