Do you fear abandonment? Have you overcome it?

I've gotten better with it. I figure people will either stick around or won't. It makes me sad when they don't, but there's no use in worrying about whether they will or not. I heard a quote recently that went something like, "he who lives in fear about what might happen has already experienced it". That really resonates with me.
