My dad hit me a couple of times. The first time was more of a slap and the 2nd time he punched me out of his way while passing through the kitchen. That one got me in the jaw...

I saw him slap my mom a few times when her screaming got on his nerves. This is many years ago, and it wasn't uncommon in those days for men to smack their wives and kids around. No one thought much of it then.
