From my experience there's still hardships in a loving family, each getting on others' nerves at times, there can be many hard feelings beneath the calm surface. Like in the movie Fargo, where people seem regular hide darkness, in all of people imo ... in fact I am imagining that you're in a position to learn and grow from a really bad experience more than those who had a more subtle experience.

Mine wasn’t calm at all—it was more like a rollercoaster, but in a good, adventurous way. I think what you meant by “calm” is actually “balanced.”. Isn't it?

It just made me realise at a certain age that tantrums and rudeness (as exhibited by a sibling)is so counter productive, unpleasant and emotionally draining on others.

I’ll have to think about this awhile. I know I did. But not sure what the secret was.

@4thdimensiondream You're home was calm or loving? That's really nice👍 Did it help you feel a sense of self as you grew up...self trust or a feeling of life could be joyous ?
4thdimensiondream · 70-79, M
@Baybreeze it really did. But it didn’t seem usually or anything to me. We weren’t overly emotional but you felt the love. I do believe it helped me be a good parent and grandparent. I think it’s sad not everyone grows up feeling that way. “Love” is the key.
People didn't have that... It's about time we all woke up and realised as much..

@AbsolutelyFabulous I know several people here have said they had a loving, stable home. But I have to keep reiterate to myself it's true, Bec it seems so untrue.
@Baybreeze we're born with the trauma from our ancestors and it's our job here to heal, learn, improve, etc, so that we don't pass down the pain..
