Yes I’m married since 1997. A lot has changed even us but I still live her. I guess she still loves me. We are so busy raising grandchildren now for our daughter. It not easy.
ElwoodBlues · M
My wife & I are living proof of that! We've been married over 25 years, have raised our two wonderful boys, and are empty nesters now, looking forward to retirement and travel together!
PinkMoon · 26-30, F
@ElwoodBlues Congratulations on maintaining a happy healthy nuclear family for your children. Society needs parents who raise their children together.
ElwoodBlues · M
@PinkMoon Too true! And for us, children are part of the glue that binds us. Shared love and concern for them, conversations about them, etc; are an integral part of our relationship.
PinkMoon · 26-30, F
@ElwoodBlues This fills me with joy and hope for the future.
We've just celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary and I still very much love my wife.
Whether it's reciprocated or not only she could answer, sometimes her voice says yes but her eyes say no. But on occasion when there's love in her eyes, my heart soars.

Yes, very much so. I'm almost to 30 years myself. It still feels like love to me.
I will do to what I have to do to protect them with everything I have inside of me.

My best friend just lost her husband of 51 years. Yes, you can still love them fiercely.
WestonTexan · 18-21, M
I think I could. That's how long my parents have been married, and they seem to be doing fine (and they've been together even longer than that). If you find the right person, it could last forever.
Musicman · 61-69, M
@WestonTexan My parents were married for 59 years before my mother passed away.
Pherick · 41-45, M
I think like any relationship the love you have after 20 years is different than the love you had when the relationship is new, but my parents were together and in love for way longer than 20 years.
Nick1 · 61-69, M
Yes. I was married to one for 20+ years and still loved each other. And yes, it can happen again with right partner.
Softandsweet2 · 31-35, F
I think so - the passion would likely subside a lot, but I know lots of older couples that are obviously in love.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@Softandsweet2 the nature of love changes with age
Softandsweet2 · 31-35, F
@samueltyler2 that’s very true
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@Softandsweet2 yes, i know so personally.
Depends on your definition of love. If you associate sex with love then I think likely not, but if living together happily, caring about each other, gifts and dinners and hugs, then yes, for sure.
Bumbles · 51-55, M
@JamesBugman Haha, you know my marriage well.
Livingwell · 61-69, M
Absolutely! Both parties need to work hard to communicate, show affection, and respect the other's needs and dreams.
