We compromise, I want it and she doesn’t, so we don’t!

Patience and a lot of understanding.

@mysteryespresso Isn't a relationship supposed to be between 2 people?
@Hotchocolatecherry you’re right.

idk but i saw a post the other day of some old man whining about how miserable he is wife won't have sex with him anymore because of menopause. like she probably spent years cleaning after his grody butt and caring for him and he's more upset about how menopause affects him than it affects her
not having sex in a relationship where you previously did sucks and is sad if both partners still theoretically want it but bodies change ans comparing mothers and grandmothers to used cars is crazy
makes it obvious to me why the first generations of women who don't have to get married are choosing not to

Menopause in our marriage was the great equalizer. We became home nudists. Kept the excitement going and used lube when necessary. Having an empty nest added to the enjoyment and it lasted until medical complications set in.

Sometimes it was OK. Some days it was like dealing with a terrorist. But we survived it..😷
Hormone replacement therapy.

PatientlyWaiting25 · 46-50, F
@GoFish some people call civil partnership marriage so potentially could be two women
GoFish ·
@PatientlyWaiting25 well some places gay marriage is legal too
Hotchocolatecherry · 36-40, F
@GoFish Yes one of you. Or both.

Every post menopausal woman I've met ceased to have a libido after menopause happened. That's awful and I pray that doesn't happen to me. A lot of unsatisfied husbands and general household strife occurs.
PatientlyWaiting25 · 46-50, F
@DearAmbellina2113 pretty sure I've gone through it. Haven't had a period in several months now but I still get just as horny as I did before.
exexec · 70-79, C
It was not a problem for us. We adjusted as necessary, and it had little effect on our sex life and no effect on our relationship. Lynn was open about her situation, and I adjusted.

@exexec Awww you're so sweet.

I think its different with each person. I personally find my partner not eager but does engage in it and gets orgasm. The bad thing that I hate is she is most of the time sleepy😩
Convivial · 26-30, F
A tad young maybe... Are you sure?
Hotchocolatecherry · 36-40, F
@Convivial What do you mean? I'm not asking for me. A friend of mine she 47 and her husband has menopause and she hasn't.
Convivial · 26-30, F
@Hotchocolatecherry ok... I guess I missed that in the original post....

I would have to say , there has to be a clear understanding about each others feelings throughout the process. When a man can not take away those feelings have a time out .
