Lol. It shouldn't be. A chance to find someone new, to remember what love is, to explore new things.

I know you lost all of the training you did with your old mate, that part will be difficult to redo.. Getting him to put his socks in the laundry, to put his plate in the dishwasher, to clean out your car when you ask him to.. stuff like that all has to be renegotiated. haha

Post divorcé wasn’t bad for me but that may have been the age and time; 80’s and in my 30’s. Once I became widowed it’s been a nightmare; younger women looking for a meal ticket, as @DailyFlash mentioned wanting a marriage commitment or at least wanting to live together in our age bracket.

I’ve have really nice experiences with meetup groups. Check them out!
My experience is that love usually comes when you least expect it, so stop searching, concentrate of being loving to yourself, and it will find you!

After I got divorced, I realized that getting dates with women my age was very easy, but they all seemed intent on getting a commitment towards marriage right away. Which I was not into.

@DailyFlash Marriage these days is quite a toxic thing

Group activities are a little less intense and much more forgiving than solo time with a stranger

If you like them in a group setting, it might be your stepping stone to more significant solo time
After my divorce, I didn't speak to a woman for nearly a year and it took 3 years for me to be comfortable with dating again.

Then I went on a torrent.

I’ve been enjoying dating now that I’m single 🤷🏻‍♂

I wouldn’t even know where to start. It seems most are just doing the online thing now.

People wants to rush. It may become better if time is invested to know and understand each other.
Miklee02 · 51-55, F
I can’t even imagine 😑

Whether it was an actual divorce or just a seperation when not married the outcome for the two people that split up is usually the same - disaster central. Walls so high you can't fathom ever lowering your guard to allow someone new inside your castle.
