not at all - I'd say it makes you a better one. Understanding feelings means you have insight to a sub's needs, an ability to empathize, and genuine care for the sub. These traits are important in a good D/s relationship so that trust can be built, a safe emotional space created where the sub can grow. If a D is in it without care or concern for the sub, they're just in it for power and their own selfish wants.

being a dom is about being able to put your sub first, anyone in it for purely selfish reasons shouldn't be doing it.

Care for & consider your subs needs & she will respond with even more devotion. The analogy is treat a dog kindly & it will perform for & love you more. Treat it poorly & it will be reluctant & surly. Consider your subs needs & feelings & she will respond with adoration, devotion & loyalty tenfold.
