Do you think marriage is necessary ?

rckt148 · 61-69, M
If you are a Christian ,then there is a meaning behind it .
Anyone can have a civil union ,get a licence ,go to a notary or JP and make it legal
and then the other has legal rights ,to represent you ,inherit belongings and so forth .
But to a Christian its a promise not to you're mate ,but to God .
I am going to love this person that you spiritually make me one with .
The way you love me ,unconditionally .
Sickness and in health ,for better or worse ,until death do we part .
The obeying one another is also a word no one likes now days .when all It means
is I submit my all to you ,and in turn the other person submits their all too .

The sex act is actually the marriage for those who submit to the laws of God .

1 Corinthians 6:16
King James Version
16 What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh.

We have a marriage ceremony as with many Christian ceremonies as an outward declaration .
In the presence of these witnesses ,I pledge to God and you as witnesses
We want to do it His way ,and not the way of the world .

But sadly many who embark on marriage do not care its a principle of God and should be entered into as something sacred ,and He has strict laws to bind it .
We just want a paper to say they are our property .
and a marriage not based on God ,is a sham .
He tell believers that have mates that were not ,to let them go .
You can't hold someone to the principles of God when they are not Gods to begin with .

@rckt148 And Trump, a true Christian, has done that three times!
rckt148 · 61-69, M
@hunkalove Well I myself before I knew Christ was married twice ,and it was hard in the Bible belt of North Carolina to find a Preacher willing to marry my wife and I (to each other ,not to him )
But since I have come to know Christ personally ,I would not take another wife unless I knew we were evenly yoked .believing the same things ,
I have no right to judge anyone's salvation ,or when Christ might chose to use them .
I do know no one is in power unless God allows it .
To speak for Him ,or to be His whip .to teach us not to rely on men ,but on Christ .
But He also said "We will know them by their fruits "and the speech they have .
Like accusing a brother ,and no proof to back it ,,false witness .
When we have proof someone does not follow Christ ,their actions are contrary to the commandments of God ,the examples of Christ and the word as our standard .
Well ,we are warned not to support them .the sins they commit in the name of God ,we are party to as well ..like the guy that drives the get away car ,but his friends kill the clerk in the store ..the driver is changed the same .
We wanted a king ,instead of a prophet ,or God Himself .
Now we are guilty as the King ..Unless we repent from our evil ways and pray for him .
I will leave it up to you what kind of fruit you see ..
I listen to the holy Spirit ,that told me to be kind .

For legal, insurance, and "next of kin" reasons it is kind of important.

I personally prefer to be married now that I am. I made the decision to marry my bf of 5 years.
SubstantialKick · 31-35, M
It's a huge commitment that is not for everyone. I really don't think it would be for me to be honest.
