There’s nothing wrong with having confidence in your looks. It can easily be a highly attractive trait. But one may want to be mindful of how they’re perceived when making statements like that.
Earthwrap · 41-45, M
It always bothers me when women call themselves "intelligent" on dating sites without giving any real reason. Better to write something and show it than to just say it in one of the couple sentences you write.
CountScrofula · 41-45, M
I think there's a lot of cultural stuff going on there where behaviours seem kinda cringey to us and may be just how people act elsewhere.
Azrael2 · 22-25, T
@CountScrofula well, as an Indian myself, they need to get their head out of their asses. At least the ones living urban lives.
CountScrofula · 41-45, M
@Azrael2 Lol well I'll defer to your expertise on this one.

I don't know if this is an "Indian" trait. But I do agree about that being a narcissistic red flag. It's about how other perceive you, not how you perceive yourself.
johntomSWPhd · 36-40
I,m Indian, i'd down right tell you I,m handsome if you are dating prospect, because I feel that way. If you dont like it, then keep it moving.Big deal!.What you are trying to do is change how people perceive thesmelves, when they have done nothing to you.Its not like they called you ugly.

@johntomSWPhd lolol how is this a troll post? It's just an observation and a question related to it. 🤷 Why don't you take your own advice and "keep it moving"?
johntomSWPhd · 36-40
@Azrael2 My advice was to you, it wasnt to myself .And how do you ask a question and not expect an answer for the same question? oh let me guess, you want to keep the ball rolling?.Narcissism should be disguised cleverly, if its not, then you'd be caught with your pants down.Anyways, there are other sharper chiks out here. So, excuse me.
Azrael2 · 22-25, T
@johntomSWPhd I don't remember asking for advice. That wasn't the question, you didn't really answer the question that I posed 😂😂
Also what? xD who in their right mind in 2020, calls women "chicks"? Yuck. 😂

There is a bit of a cultural issue there ..
Azrael2 · 22-25, T
@Stillwaiting I know
They could be trying to demonstrate their confidence - a lot of women say that they like their men to be confident.
Azrael2 · 22-25, T
@HootyTheNightOwl confident people don't really need to project their confidence lol
@Azrael2 They do if they're reduced to trying to demonstrate it using written word to someone they've never spoken to before... and possibly never will. They only have this one shot.
Azrael2 · 22-25, T
@HootyTheNightOwl nah, confident people don't really care about demonstrating anything because you know... they're confident in themselves. Plus there's better ways to demonstrate confidence than calling yourself "handsome"
PervertedPrincessOfDeath · 31-35, T
Would you prefer they brand themselves as fugly basement dwellers?
Azrael2 · 22-25, T
@PervertedPrincessOfDeath nah, I'd say that's worse. just...be normal is all.
PervertedPrincessOfDeath · 31-35, T
@Azrael2 yeah cause girls just fall over themselves for those totally average guys don't they
Azrael2 · 22-25, T
@PervertedPrincessOfDeath well I don't think there's any statistical data to prove either way. But the post not about being handsome or average or whatever. It's about calling yourself "handsome" and being entitled enough to assume that people are gonna be impressed by that.
Eternity · 26-30, M
Yeah male pride is so wrong 🙄 dont they know how useless they are?
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
indian men seem self entitled
Azrael2 · 22-25, T
@MartinTheFirst oh most of them are
