Is it morally incorrect to hook up with 2 people at the same time having told one of them that they are exclusively the only one they're hooking up w?

Vivaci Best Comment
Obviously! And in the end such people have nothing in their hands!
@basicgirl12 Exactly! There was this movie where the boyfriend meets his old flame, this a hot blonde, and they have dinner and catch up on old times, later she takes him to her hotel room. He undresses, and is about to sleep with her, when he stops, and realizes that it's not worth it. He says sorry to the now pissed off ex....and wears his clothes and runs back home to his girlfriend....who's fast asleep in bed....kisses her and in her sleep he tells her he wants to marry her.

That's commitment.

@Vivaci that's lovely ♥️♥️♥️
@basicgirl12 Indeed! That's what every sincere girl deserves! 💞

It would violate my sense of morality, yes, because flat-out lying for your own amusement or pleasure I regard as wrong.
firefall · 61-69, M
@basicgirl12 then he cheated on girl #1, and hopefully she'll DTMFA, and good riddance to him. I kind of feel sorry for the second girl, though, unless she was aware what was going on.
basicgirl12 · 26-30, F
Do you hold the same view taking into consideration it was a friends with benefits relationship both ways?
firefall · 61-69, M
@basicgirl12 I dont see that makes any difference - a promise of exclusivity is a promise, and that trust was violated.

What could go wrong?

Yes the intentional deception makes it wrong

Doesn't matter if it's morally incorrect. What matters is that you're exposing another person (the one you're supposed to be with exclusively) to possible STDs by having intercourse with other people. The shitty part is not telling them that they're taking that risk with their body.

I was in a w2w friends with benefits, however, that wouldn't mean, to me, at least, that either of us could just have sex with whomever we wanted. Those are not my morals and I knew they were also not hers. I'm not one to share myself intimately, sexually or intellectually, with just anyone. It's a very dangerous hurtful game to play with peoples feelings & emotions like that.
basicgirl12 · 26-30, F
@Wolfdancer thank you for sharing, I fully agree 💯

@basicgirl12 Love & Light to you ...I'm pretty sure you already knew your own answer and please learn not to need the clarification, instead to trust your own inner self. Never accept what doesn't feel right or question it.

I would say it is immature and unkind to do such a thing.
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
Lying is morally incorrect, yes.
basicgirl12 · 26-30, F
@QuixoticSoul what if after hooking up with the second girl, he didn't hook up with the first girl again and told her he had hooked up? (The first girl was the one he'd told was exclusive)
Ryanoliver2011 · 31-35, M
Umm yea big time. That isn’t cool

More than morally incorrect from the viewpoint of a rule based ethics, it´s crap and a signal that says: This who do this is not worth of a relationship.
CoolInferno · 31-35, M
Unless those two people are connected to each other...

And for safety, never take pics with them... So that there won't be may evidence against you...

Lying is morally repugnant to me, because I wouldn’t want to be lied to. But that’s a moral stand not everyone accepts as valid.
SW-User
Experiences say you'll cheat.
CharlieZ · 70-79, M
Non ethical bs
strongbow · 46-50, M
