But honestly, space is infinite (which blows my mind), so the idea that we are the only planet with independently thinking life forms would be ridiculous. I always find it funny that our scientists, during exploration, look only for planets that may have the beginnings of life, similar to what happened here on Earth (primordial soup, bacteria, and mold/fungi), rather than for much more advanced life forms, as if humans were the apex life form in the galaxy.
