I used to be upset with them and then myself for trusting them.

Now I realise it’s a mirror being held up to myself of my own fears.

You attract what is within and that’s showing you what work needs to be done to heal that side of you.

So if you are fearful of being betrayed, you’ll probably be betrayed, that needs healing. ❤‍🩹

Probably more at them. But I've lived too long and know human nature enough, that I already know anyone is capable of betraying and it isn't the "sky is falling" if it happens.

It's mostly our selfcenteredness.

At myself, I’m a good judge of character and I always see it coming but I engage anyway.
I’m always right in the end.
It’s one of the reasons I don’t try anymore.
It can tear me apart and push me in all the wrong directions when the reality hits.

I don’t feel angry, I feel disappointed and I want to understand why and then the walls go up and they stay there.

I haven’t felt betrayed in a very long time. I suppose I felt more angry at myself for trusting them.

Neither. I feel devastated and profoundly wounded by the betrayal, and just hide from the world and mourn.

I'm once bitten, twice shy & they'll never get that chance again so I chalk it up to lesson learned.

Of course I’m a bit angry at them but more at myself. Because I have to convince myself that they changed and that if I give them a chance I won’t regret it.

And I usually end up regretting it 😒😕

Trust takes time.

Don't trust so easily, too soon.

You'll save yourself a lot of anger over nothing.

Oh no.. Definitely at them. There's nothing wrong with trusting someone who has tricked you into developing feelings for them.

What's the point in getting angry??? Anger never solves anything. It's better to see that they proved you right and move on... with higher walls next time.

Betrayal is the one situation that I go scorched earth over. Nuclear, seeing red. So, anger at anything that lives.
