When someone betrays you, do you feel more angry at them or at yourself for trusting them?

Probably more at them. But I've lived too long and know human nature enough, that I already know anyone is capable of betraying and it isn't the "sky is falling" if it happens.

'We suffer more because of what we imagine they should do. We project onto them all sorts of qualities and ethics. And cast them into these roles that they never agreed to play. And when they don't act according to our script, or fantasy of who they are, we are crushed, devastated. Just like we are flawed, etc.. so are they. Yet we hold them to a higher standard. Hostage to our projections"

It's mostly our selfcenteredness.
