Widowed. My husband died two years ago. I still miss him loads and I think about him a lot but I would be open to trying dating now, although really only for fun and friendship cause I'm not entirely sure if I'm ready. I think it will be a suck it and see situation - not literally lol. That was a bad choice of words 😂 but you know what I mean.
Married but alone -- my wife has dementia and it got so bad we had to put her into a memory-care unit this past Spring. Most of the time she doesn't even remember who I am or who our son is.
@WillaKissing Thanks. Unfortunately we were pushed out until after the first of the year to start settlement negotiations. The reason? A court assigned case manager is on maternity leave.
@BrandNewMan I had to attend a court mandated 8-hour class given by a Lesbian that was just out of college with no children of her own never married to lecture the divorcees on child rearing post-divorce!
Now let that governmental brainstorm sink in for minute!
Divorced and single for the past 19 years and I have not dated by my choosing for the past 13 years; I resigned myself to be happy and single over dating and miserable. I am done sacrificing myself to make a woman happy.
