I think if you keep it from your partner. I think it’s cheating.
If you’re open and tell them , you’re not.

Most open relationships I'm familiar with have rules, so I assume if a partner in the relationship goes outside those rules, that would be cheating.

If you’re in an open relationship there are no lies and no deceit. You tell your partner what you’re going to do and when and you get the same in return.

Absolutely. The relationships only works through trust and communication. If one party stops communicating, and secretly sleeps with a person, through deception and lies, that trust is broken and becomes cheating.

I'm not sure. But I imagine if the "open" relationship is one-sided then it'd feel like they're cheating

Open relationships are like open carry. Just because you have a permit doesn’t mean you can take a shot at anything that moves ya know
