That one word responses is so annoying
bill117 · 46-50, M
@smileylovesgaming Yes and it feels like a rejection

GeniUs · 56-60, M
Straight up ask just something like, "are you having second thoughts? You seem a little distant."
I think all people who try online dating have been there.
Chatted to one woman for about 6 weeks before she straight up changed her mind and said she wasn't ready to start dating again. Had somebody come over for a weekend which was great and I thought we'd really hit it off and then she mistakenly dropped that she was seeing somebody else- nope, I'm not playing that game.
So many different scenarios but I think it's time to look elsewhere in your case, if she cares she'll come back.

@GeniUs Thank you
Morvoren · F
It might be something unrelated to you, some sort of emergency or issue.

I had this happen where I’d gone into hospital and someone thought I was ignoring them.

Don’t lose hope but at the same time move forward and prioritise yourself.
bill117 · 46-50, M
@Morvoren Thank you
Strapmaster · 70-79, M
Same thing happened to me. Great connection with a gal from the Uk for several weeks. Then......nothing. No rhyme or reason. She just won't answer anymore. It's baffling for sure, but it does happen. All you can do is move on and forget about them. If you don't it'll drive you crazy looking for a reason you'll never figure out. Plenty of good people out there. It's finding the right one that isn't easy.
bill117 · 46-50, M
@Strapmaster True. Thanks
WonderGirl · 41-45
It's a tricky situation. I have this problem with a friend of mine. She won't reply to me, then when I go silent, which isn't easy for a week or two, she will text me if I'm okay. I haven't seen you post anything in 2 weeks. Are you all right? Some people are like that.
bill117 · 46-50, M
@WonderGirl Thanks
WonderGirl · 41-45
It could have nothing to do with you. Try to be patient, space out your texts to her, and just make them positive. Wish her a good day, maybe that you miss her or are thinking of her. I don't know if that's too forward.
DoubleRings · 51-55, F
That’s a risk you take in dating and I can tell you it happens quite often. I had a great date with one guy - coffee for three hours , and I thought we really hit if off. He said he wanted to see me again and then…. Crickets. I’d text him and either no answer, or Hes very busy or not engaged, or one word answers. That was prob a decade ago, and to this day I still wonder wtf happened. Like, what did I do? What changed?
bill117 · 46-50, M
@DoubleRings This is exactly what I am going through. And it took a lot in me to go out there. And then this happens. I am questioning myself.
DoubleRings · 51-55, F
@bill117 we don’t always know whats on peoples minds. What makes their minds up or what changes them one way or another. I’ve just come to accept that my reality (I liked him very much) does not imply his reality (he prob was not being genuine when he said he wanted to see me again, he prob didn’t like me as much as I thought). It also crossed my mind perhaps he could have emotional trauma, fear of commitment or intimacy, mental health issues, perhaps just playing games or maybe he’s gay, idk! We can never know.

And for the record. I laid it out for him eventually about a month later and told him in a gentle way that I was confused but that I enjoyed my time with him and would like to see him again if he was still up to it (since HE asked!) bc I thought we had a lot of things in common. And still…… no answer. So after that I gave up. Deleted his contact info.

@DoubleRings This gives me a clarity. Thank you.

@Pinkstarburst Thank you
AngelUnforgiven · 51-55, F
Send a message saying, i really like you but it seems like you may have some things going on, so i am here when you are ready to talk to me. The ball is in your court, I really enjoyed our time together and leave it at that.
bill117 · 46-50, M
@AngelUnforgiven I did this but all i now get is a one word response and it feels like she is done with me
AngelUnforgiven · 51-55, F
@bill117 then take the hint sweety
bill117 · 46-50, M
@AngelUnforgiven Yeah probably.
WhereGraceBegins · 51-55, F
I agree with the others. Be direct and ask her if she would rather not talk anymore and move on.
bill117 · 46-50, M
masterofyou · 70-79, M
Everyone has gone through meetings like this the best thing to do is just move on.... She has second thoughts game over don't beat yourself up over it.... It isn't worth your time....
bill117 · 46-50, M
@masterofyou Yes probably. Thank you
RedBaron · M
Think about why you feel hurt by someone you’ve never actually had a relationship with.
bill117 · 46-50, M
@RedBaron That's what I have been thinking over. I feel extremely low
Bumbles · 51-55, M
She’s not that into you. See a therapist if you can’t stop thinking about it.
bill117 · 46-50, M
@Bumbles I will be okay I think. Thanks
Newyguy80 · 41-45, M
Red flag , dtop texting and move on , dont be a panda and let her actions control your emotions.
bill117 · 46-50, M
@Newyguy80 Yes trying that. Thanks
Newyguy80 · 41-45, M
@bill117 sorry to sound blunt but as most have , i have been there and i just had to pick myself up and think 'it is what it is' and move forward.
Like2play · M
Stop texting her.
bill117 · 46-50, M
@Like2play I have stopped
Another fickle nutcase. They are a dime a dozen, especially the pretty and seemingly nice ones. Consider yourself lucky. You dodged a bullet.

@jshm2 I tried. And this is what I got! But I get your point. It is just very hard.
Moneyonmymind · 31-35, M
Move on. If you keep trying to pursue you will look desperate; there are plenty of fish in the sea.
bill117 · 46-50, M
@Moneyonmymind I have stopped texting. It is just that it doesn't feel good.
Moneyonmymind · 31-35, M
@bill117 yes but it shall pass, we are men!
