Do you like embraces/cuddling when in a relationship?

Touch is a big deal for me. It’s another way to express love, sometimes in a way that is more powerful than words. A loving touch or embrace is something I never had as a child…or even a teenager…so when they started to come into my life it was like my starved body and heart were both trying to make up for all the years they went without feeling the benefits from that unspoken love.

Of course! But I am also a bit like a cat. I have to initiate the cuddle. 🤣🤣🤣

I didn’t grow up in an affectionate family, so I’m used to my space and don’t require a lot of contact, but I would like to feel welcome to touch and I would like it to feel like a positive when it happens. He’ll often jerk away when I try to touch him so I just don’t because that’s crushing, and when he touches me, it just makes me feel self conscious. I try to let it be positive, but there’s always relief that it’s brief. The whole thing’s broken my head so much I’m not sure I could tolerate cuddling.

I absolutely love the embraces, cuddles and touching. My #1 Love Language is physical touch.

Mm yes, I like them, but not overly much. I don't like feeling smothered.

I love it! Especially when my man holds me in his big strong arms. It makes me feel safe and loved.

Thinking back on a relationship in my 20s and why it ended....it was lack of contact...even though she tried to rekindle...maybe I was too immature to explain why...or just didn't understand what was wrong.

I have always enjoyed cuddling, snuggling, and hugging, (all at the proper times and places.) Currently, my S/O is not into any of those and I do miss it.

I grew up in a family that didn't hug or show any signs of affection so it would take me a while to get used to hugs and cuddling.

I used to. At this point, I haven't really been cuddled in over a decade and I'm getting to the point where I don't like to be touched anymore.

I love cuddles, but they need to get through the stone first.

Yeah I do but I usually seem to get antsy & wanna get up or move around pretty quickly 😅 so I don't usually cuddle for very long.

I like when me & my gf can just cuddle on the couch watching a movie though. She likes laying her head on my lap & that works best because then I'm free to still rock my legs a bit 😌
