Does anybody hear write fanfiction?

Often times when I feel myself getting deeply involved with a TV series, movie, or certain character, I start to rewrite my own version of the story or person in my head. I guess in a way creating my own fanfiction. I’ve even thought about writing these stories down. Does anyone else experience this or do these things? Or write your own fanfiction?

I tried writing some fan fiction cause i get really emotionally invested in certain things and just dont want the experience to stop. also wanting to put my own spin on it. But i never feel like i know the source material enough to do it successfully. i hate plot holes and contradictions in stories, especially ones i write.

I have before...just as a distraction or mind stretch exercise when I've needed it. Nothing that I actually shared with anyone. Sometimes the mind just wants a good story to be taken a little bit further.

@Benjago i’ve never shared it with anyone before either. This is my first time. Though I like to come here and share things anonymously. I feel that it is a good distraction from reality. Sometimes like to picture myself in that situation like if I was a character in that particular movie or series. What my role would be. How I would act. How I would interact with the other characters. thanks for sharing

@DisarrayedNightshade I've done mostly anime and some American cartoons. I usually try to make stories that could be extra episodes and would fit in nicely.

I also sometimes novelize video games

I am a superhero.. but I do write fan fiction about myself but it is kinda narcissistic. Still it's good.

@soulshadow I think it’s pretty cool and interesting that you write yourself as a superhero in fanfiction. I don’t really see it as narcissistic, but maybe others might. Appreciate you sharing.

I have an unusual fascination with the Beth Dutton character on Yellowstone.
I haven't done so yet, but there's sooo much I could do with writing as her in character. I think it would be so delightful and charming to write as Beth. She's so Vivacious.♥️✍️🔥😎
