@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout That might've sped things up a bit! 😁 I don't think J K Rowling has a clue about affairs of the heart, quite frankly, though obviously the books and films are great fun and immensely popular.

Opposites attract. Someone like Hermione is best complimented my a timid relaxed and anxious person like Ron. I agree with @Saage Harry is not an alpha. A relationship between Harry and Hermione would have made both of of these characters more uncomfortable especially in Potions class. The sun signs of Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley match better. Hermione is a ♍ and Ron a Pisces ♓, two halves of the same coin, so to speak. I’d need interpretations from JKR to know for sure the rest of these charts, but based on what their the best guesses I have other parts of Hermione and Ron’s explain their greater compatibility and Ron’s actions in the 7th movie.

Ok. First off humans do not behave according to a debunked theory about canine behavior that even the person behind the theory has walked away from.
Attraction is very individual and made up of a host of factors and has nothing to do with Andrew Tate type nonsense.
One of the most healthy couples I know the woman in question is the most extroverted and strong willed, marches to the beat of her own drum kind of people out there.
Her fiance is the complete opposite. He has always been quiet and reserved, introverted and very logical and practical.
He keeps her grounded in reality and and she gets him out of his shell and gives him the confidence to try new things.

Look, I get it, I find your analysis interesting. Life is random though, THAT'S why it's a trip or journey.
Think of all the friends you've ever had. Did it make sense? My bunch don't. I, for one, love that.

I agree with that except for calling Harry an alpha male, he was an outcast and bullied or at least looked down upon by most students. Hermione who was also an outcast however, would seriously have grativated towards Harry, rather than an alpha male (like Cedric) or weak-willed Ron.

Sound's like you took JK Rowling's purpose in the books seriously. Not understanding that she was attempting to debase the LGBTQ+ community purposely.
Especially the plus part.
Segregate the girls from the boys all the way through, from start to finish. No Inclusion. That was her purpose in those books.
Yeah she was sort of a odd ball feminist. Yet far more misandristic than what you like.
Do you now understand why she had both the straight and LGBTQ+ communities all in a uproar? 🙃

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow And you were never never in California in the early 1970s, while the hippy movement was still going on.
PicturesOfABetterTomorrow · 41-45, M
@DeWayfarer Like I said. That was definitely not the norm.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow Maybe where you are. Yet I have been to Germany on my own with several female cousins before. My male cousins, their brothers, were the monitors.

Actually, I can see it.. Hermione in any other plot, would have been the star of her own show.. So picking a partner like Ron, basically good, but easily directed, makes perfect sense for her. Remembering it was her who made the first move on an unsuspecting Ron..😷
Saage · F
@whowasthatmaskedman Why would a star pick someone who drags her down, instead of someone on her own level?
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@Saage I stopped trying to figure women out long ago.. But a strong smart woman doesnt want an assertive male beating his chest to establish his superiority. Lets face it, she would be in Harrys shadow forever..😷
ScarletWitch · 31-35, F
I agree. Harry should have always been with her. Makes sense. I was disappointed as a kid.

The character as they are portrayed in the movies or in the books?
Because Ron was more alpha then Harry in the books.
And they only made Hermione seem smarter in the movies by giving her all of Ron's best lines.

Cool story, but I'd have said Harry and Draco.
All that hate leads to sexual tension.
Also Filch and Mrs Norris (implied), Sirius Black and Kreacher, etc.

@basilfawlty89 Bringing up all the old Wattpad and ao3 fanfic atrocities. 😂
basilfawlty89 · 36-40, M
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow yeah yeah, but we knew that Sirius and Kreacher were bound to happen.

It was just a writer's trick, kind of like Luke and Laya being siblings - to keep the audience engaged...
ChipmunkErnie · 70-79, M
Nope.

Eh I'm not into the romantic aspect of movies

Yeah because this always happens in real life. Sorry but this isn’t a smart take.
Elessar · 31-35, M
If that theory was correct, real life so called "alphas" wouldn't spend their 40s living in their parent's basement, posting hateful stuff against women on the internet because they don't get laid
Zonuss · 46-50, M
Its a classic film.
