HARRY POTTER

Who agrees that an intelligent, strong-willed character such as Hermione Granger would've naturally gravitated towards the alpha male of the series, Harry, and would never have had time for an awkward, shambolic character such as Ron Weasley? To me, the romantic element of the series has never"rung true" : Harry and Hermione by nature should've been destined for eachother, with Ron and perhaps one of the other female characters (Fleur Delacours, Luna Lovegood) becoming romantically involved. I'd be interested to hear what other fans' opinions are on this.

Opposites attract. Someone like Hermione is best complimented my a timid relaxed and anxious person like Ron. I agree with @Saage Harry is not an alpha. A relationship between Harry and Hermione would have made both of of these characters more uncomfortable especially in Potions class. The sun signs of Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley match better. Hermione is a ♍ and Ron a Pisces ♓, two halves of the same coin, so to speak. I’d need interpretations from JKR to know for sure the rest of these charts, but based on what their the best guesses I have other parts of Hermione and Ron’s explain their greater compatibility and Ron’s actions in the 7th movie.
Ok. First off humans do not behave according to a debunked theory about canine behavior that even the person behind the theory has walked away from.

Attraction is very individual and made up of a host of factors and has nothing to do with Andrew Tate type nonsense.

One of the most healthy couples I know the woman in question is the most extroverted and strong willed, marches to the beat of her own drum kind of people out there.

Her fiance is the complete opposite. He has always been quiet and reserved, introverted and very logical and practical.

He keeps her grounded in reality and and she gets him out of his shell and gives him the confidence to try new things.

I agree with that except for calling Harry an alpha male, he was an outcast and bullied or at least looked down upon by most students. Hermione who was also an outcast however, would seriously have grativated towards Harry, rather than an alpha male (like Cedric) or weak-willed Ron.

Actually, I can see it.. Hermione in any other plot, would have been the star of her own show.. So picking a partner like Ron, basically good, but easily directed, makes perfect sense for her. Remembering it was her who made the first move on an unsuspecting Ron..😷

@whowasthatmaskedman Why would a star pick someone who drags her down, instead of someone on her own level?

@Saage I stopped trying to figure women out long ago.. But a strong smart woman doesnt want an assertive male beating his chest to establish his superiority. Lets face it, she would be in Harrys shadow forever..😷

It was just a writer's trick, kind of like Luke and Laya being siblings - to keep the audience engaged...

@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout That might've sped things up a bit! 😁 I don't think J K Rowling has a clue about affairs of the heart, quite frankly, though obviously the books and films are great fun and immensely popular.
