How much would you pay for a book?

I know people need to make a living off them but ffs anything over $30 is ridiculous. I rather buy them used for a couple dollars.

My one book for school was $200 but after I purchased it it came with a free online version of it so I took the code and claimed it then returned the book lol

I rarely buy new books. The prices are ridiculous. I can go to a library book sale and get any paperback for $1 and a hardback for $2. One time I paid $45 for an untouched set of À la recherche du temps perdu at a used bookstore. Probably the most I've spent outside of college textbooks.

I only buy new books if it's something I HIGHLY anticipated reading and don't want to wait for it to hit the used book stores. Which is really rare.

Used book stores are pretty close to being my favorite places to go, any time.
I think 18 € the most unless it’s medical books or technical books, hard bound coffee table books.

On kindle I was able to buy some at 1 € and the most i would pay there is 20 but it’s rare

I paid $45 for a used book off of amazon that included postage and handling. I could have got a newer copy in hardcover much cheaper but I really wanted that issue.

College books are 150 and up. It’s a sad rip off for the students

Depends on if its hardback or paperback

Depends on the book, whether it's paperback or hardcover and how old the book is.
I paid £130 for an art book 😷

That's about my limit as well.
