Good morning Y'all, how's your weekend shaping up?

I stayed up until 3 am and slept to 11. Did some errands inside, then stepped out into the 16 degree weather. It is before the storm, clear and sunny.

I filled up my gas tank. So cold standing there! The Gatorade bottle in my car was frozen solid.

Now I am at IHOP drinking coffee and eating chicken and waffles. The heat rising from the plate is warming my hands and face!

Then I need to pick up drugs, and then go home. Snow starts tonight: 5 to 10 inches. At least it will be all powder due to the temperature, so easy to clear. Yet the tail end may be sleet. I have an ice scraper. I brought home my work laptop and so am ready to work from home on Monday if need be.

I got groceries last night. They were out of hot dog buns so I got a loaf of bread!

-2 (F) is really cold when you and your place aren't prepared for that.

It's -30 here at the moment, but it's sunny and the house is cozy enough. Looks like tonight (-38) might be the end of the intense cold here. Up to -20 tomorrow, which is ok for winter in the Great White North.

I feel for everyone dealing with the extreme cold.

Just checked the temperature and it’s 9F (-13C) and snow is expected to start around 7PM. The hockey game start time got moved up to 4 and tomorrow’s game is cancelled. So after the game just stay in and enjoy the quiet time.

I'm cold sore and whiny lol.

But uh it's just normal cold here and we're used to that. Genuinely terrified of how that ice storm is gonna get people.

Once i was brave enough to go out into the cold, first thing I did was make sure the snowblower was ready for to morrow.

According to the weather app we are heading into some extreme cold weather and Ted Cruz left the chat so… we are screwed (just kidding he just seems to leave when there’s a weather issue lol) in all seriousness it’s 49° but feels 38° now and rainy… people have panic bought out the stores and I’m glad I can things and make sourdough because if all else fails we have that

I have a balmy 11f right now🙂
But tonight will be different ☹
With maybe over a foot of snow, thank goodness we will miss out on the freezing rain.

The weekend will be cold and wet, but not a hard freeze. The hard freeze comes Sunday night/Monday morning. I don't expect to see many people in church tomorrow morning.

not yet with the snow but it's coming it's -13°C right now it feels like -20°C and we are suppose to be getting like 20-30 cm of snow starting tomorrow into Monday

Lookin' chilly. Monday is shaping up to be the roughest day here though.

It’s already freezing outside. I was gonna go to the gym but I don’t feel like dying first.
