The felon-in-chief has ordered the Mint

to stop making pennies, proving that even a stopped watch is right twice a day.

Oh, by the way, it appears that the Mint works for Congress, not the President, so he doesn't have any authority over what the Mint does. So there's that.
@DunningKruger Yep, Article I, section 8 of the Constitution states that only Congress has the authority to coin money and regulate the value of such money. But when has tRump ever let the Constitution get in his way??

not my watch
its not the same any more.. like in the old days

@markinkansas Ah, but maybe it is right, just in a way you haven't realized yet.

@markinkansas This reminds me of my favorite book, Neuromancer. It opens with the line “The sky above the harbor was the color of a tv tuned to a dead channel.”
In the 80’s when it was written, that describes a gray and overcast sky.
Now, with cable being digital, it describes a clear blue sky.

@Straylight i have seen that show. ..

This has been talked about for years but has never happened. So, if it is finally going to happen then I guess we shall have to wait and see if it has a positive effect or no.
@Bri89 Canada stopped producing pennies in May 2012 and stopped distributing them in February 2013. I don't think dropping the penny had much of an impact there.
