I probably should stop getting high but then again maybe I shouldn't.

I mean I'm at least a functional addict and have it down to a science but I should probably stop. I swear I say this all the time but never follow through.

Been there, done that. But once I turned 50, I let go of much youthful anger and began to enjoy sobriety, so it was surprisingly not that difficult to change old habits.

Now in my 60s, I rarely even think about getting high.

@RedBaron I'm glad you managed to break free.

@Crimsondrops It helped immensely to focus on the painful things that made me feel the need to self-medicate.
That is because the drug has taken over your body, you have lost control.

@JamesBugman I wouldn't say I've lost control. Losing control would look and sound so much worse.
@Crimsondrops I don't know, from my perspective, reading what you wrote, it sounds pretty bad. If you wanted to stop you would, but the drug doesn't want you to, so it convinces your brain to keep at it. Your body thinks it needs it, and your brain agrees, so have another hit.

If people can drink 7 nights a week drugs shouldn't be an issue!
@Berlynnc93 Drinking 7 Knights a night, is this an old English expression?
Berlynnc93 · 31-35, F
@JamesBugman lol obviously I didn't mean to put that 🙄... I meant 7 night a week**

Use it. Don't let it use you. 👍

@Ynotisay That's the plan.
