Snap judgements suck, people really need to slow down and evaluate instead of just going on pure gut about other people, our instincts are good enough that they brought us this far but honestly if we habituate and just blindly trust them always all the time there's that one time when you know the roads are iced over and the car goes into a skid and your instinct is to slam the break but if you do the car goes into a spin and do that in the wrong place and your instincts/intuition just got you literally slammed into by on coming traffic and killed.

A lot of things about the modern world are counterintuitive.

Same when it comes to people- we really need to slow down and really take the time to be sure we're correct.
