i've been thinking about the Rapunzel story... i think Mother Gothel got treated too harshly. i mean yes she kidnapped a girl from her parents but she was healthy, happy and had a close bond with gothel as she grew up and never recalled any abuse. when i tell the story i change the ending so that when she's returned to the kingdom the king sees this as an opportunity to cement an alliance by marrying her off and is locked in another tower. a fancier tower but still just another tower. she does eventually escape and reunite with gothel now a redeemed former villain and the moral of the story is that family isn't about blood but about the love and compassion of those you love in return.....

tldr - too warm outside, very bored inside, rewrote rapunzel.

Right now I’m alone and today feels simple and light. Just a to-do list and the off-shoot to-dos that might grow depending on what transpires. All my worries are kindly simmering on low on the backburner. 😌
