My partners and I always have separate bedrooms.

Same bed, although she often falls asleep on the recliner and comes to bed after I am asleep.

When my husband died I missed the noise of him breathing, snoring and yes farting all night. I now set my TV to play for an hour or two as I'm dropping off to sleep so I think I will have no trouble adjusting to sharing a bed again if I ever need to.

We have always slept in the same bed

Unfortunately that is my sleeping arrangement. My wife is so stubborn and won’t agree for us to get a new mattress for us to sleep on together, because my back hurts with this mattress. But her logic is there is no damage so it doesn’t need replacing. I showed her that it says you need to change your mattress every 8-10 years. We got that mattress in 2012. It’s now 2026. One night my back started hurting and I had the most powerful and hurtful cough. I took cough medicine and it didn’t help. She couldn’t sleep so to save her sleep, I went downstairs and slept on the couch. That couch will make anyone fall asleep somehow. So to this day I still sleep on the downstairs couch. 😞💔. Btw when we first got this mattress it was awesome until that night.
