The way babies smile when they see me in the grocery store. They tend to like anyone who pays attention to them, but me they love- I've seen more than one burst into tears when its mother moved and it couldn't see me any more. (I've also seen some young mothers look like they're about to burst into tears when someone else fascinates their baby more than they do. Luckily, that's just a first-time mother thing; by the time the second kid comes around, you understand that them taking an interest in someone else isn't a rejection of you, and is in fact a chance to mentally relax for a moment.).

I am HUGE in the baby world; maybe not on the level of shiny jangling keys, but only a step or two down.

Getting out for a walk, especially if there's some food to forage. I noticed sloes, I need to make gin 😊

After Halloween being cancelled due to COVID and curfews etc for years and kids glued to electronics it's just so nice to see them being KIDS again. 🥰
