Sadly, kind of both i think.
As they say "Absolute power corrupts, absolutely." But some people were shitty with or without power and having the ability to do things unchecked just takes the muzzle off.

Corrupts and enhances. Just play monopoly, you'll see.

It's human nature to seek power. A lot of us are just trying to get along and chill. We give the wrong people power though.

Corrupts.

In the short term it reveals true nature, over the long term I believe it is corrupting. Some might resist better than others but the risk is always there.

Nothing can corrupt you unless you’re a child with a brain still developing. It reveals true nature.

Both can be true or even gray areas.

It is the love of power that corrupts, not power itself.

Both, initially it just reveals your true nature and over time there the potential for it to corrupt.
