When I used to drink I'd buy British Columbia or Australian wines, either Cab Sauv, Sauv Blanc, or Shiraz.

@StygianKohlrabi have you actually tasted 2 buck chuck? I prefer to spend a little more at Costco.
StygianKohlrabi · 46-50, M
@samueltyler2 oh yeah I see they have a good selection but probably nothing in that range
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@StygianKohlrabi Costco was until very recently, the largest wine seller in the world. Their regular prices are good, when they have a sale, spectacular.

Not picky. I've won different kinds in raffles from the bowls club. I just cook with it instead of drinking.

What do you consider as budget?
Our go to is J Lohr, California paso robles region, cabernet sauvignon at $13 USD for 750 ml.

Welch's grape juice. 😬
It used to be lambrusco, but now it's a generic non-alcoholic sparkling white wine.

HERE in Massachusetts BOGLE cabernet sauvignon can be had for $7.99. Horrible stuff...worthy of pasta sauce. 🤭🤭🤭
bikelover · 56-60, M
I’ve heard people talk about that one 😉😊

it's not applicable outside the US but Trader Joe's has several decent reds on the bottom couple of shelves of their Italian section, typically montepulciano, barbera, primitiivo, sangiovese, negroamaro, or nero d'avola
