I love the beauty and all the nature the Pacific Northwest has to offer. I hate the costs of everything and I would move to be more financially stable, not because I don't love it here. I've traveled across the country twice and been many places and nothing beats PNW.

@StygianKohlrabi I heard a guy today say it's gloriously gloomy and that is a perfect description.

@SlippingAway I always thought I should live there or Minneapolis. Which I did live in for a while.
urbancowboy · 56-60, M
@SlippingAway I agree and I miss it

It's complicated. Sometimes I feel like this is my home and sometimes I just want to pack stuff and leave far away, somewhere with different climate, different culture and architecture, leaving majority of my stuff behind and start anew. I feel like that is the only way I could figure out what I really want in life. In a way, I feel dragged down by all the things from the past and they don't let me grow and change. One thing I know for sure is that I hate the apartment I live in in the state it is now. It needs to be completely rebuilt.

Yeah, I do. It’s one of the most populous cities in my country, yet every one here is always so chill. In fact, it’s rated one of the safest cities in the nation. I’ve been to other cities and they’re not nothing like mine. I wouldn’t want to live in any other.

There are pros and cons to it. The pros are that I live near two major grocery stores, so that's fine. I live in an area where I can easily catch the bus if I need to. The cons are that this part of the city is incredibly dull. There is nothing to do, and if I want to go somewhere interesting, I have to catch two buses just to go a few miles uptown, which is infuriating to me. Most days, I don't have that sort of energy, especially if i just get off of work.

Moving is a highly undesirable thing for me, we're very settled in and would require lots of work to do that, but it would be nice to live in the big city nearby so i could get to places i may need to without a car, i don't drive, and will soon be living alone.

13 months ago i moved to where i'm living now from a city i lived in almost all my life. my old place is just a 20 minute drive but the the 2 cities are like night and day. i like where i'm currently living now.

It's mostly quiet and peaceful, but stifling/isolating and economically not great. I would rather live in a city.
exexec · 70-79, C
I like it. We moved to this city 40 years ago, and it feels like home.
DragonFruit · 70-79, M
Yes, recently moved to where I live (I've been here less than a year).
