Dose anyone feel sad when the remember a great grandparents who were in the wars?

For example ANZAC day,Veterans day etc

My father and other ancestors survived their wars, but I do feel sad for friends I lost in other wars.

Yes. I wish they were all alive again. But no one lives forever.
I feel sad that we allow millions of us to be killed and displaced in wars started by a select few..

For me it was Uncles. My Uncles were in WWII. My dad was a little younger. He was in the Korean war.
