That trying to make friends passed a certain point is practically almost impossible

The majority of the things that went wrong were my fault. And I had to take responsibility for that even if the fault was as simple as “because I reacted badly to being mistreated.” If I’d maintained control instead of letting emotions lead, there wouldn’t have been as much damage.

People lie, even the ones you loved.

My uncle always said if you treat people like you want to be treated that they would do the same with you. Sadly, many times it is not the case. That mantra was true in the farming community where we lived though. People were really good to help one another when they needed it. There are too many narcissists in the world today to be so trusting

There's nobody truly looking out for you.

People make time for the things they want to do.

Once a relationship is frayed there is no recovery

A healthy, happy, successful life is NOT guaranteed!

A man hears what he wants to hear and disregards the rest.

Being taken for granted.

NEVER be a roommate with a friend it WILL ruin the friendship!
