It doesn't matter. Maybe I'm slightly more embarrassed if it's a 'down there' problem but what would matter is that they listened properly, had some compassion and most importantly could fix the problem. 😊

It usually doesn't matter but I prefer my gyno doctor to be a man because women are terribly insensitive. I thought it was just my experience but I saw several comments from other women confirming it. A young male doctor is a win because he's trying to not mess up and isn't yet jaded.

No. My last two primary care docs have been female. My wife's ob/gyn is male. Race is not an issue, either.

We prefer women doctors. This might not be the case now, but back in the day, women had to work harder to accomplish the same titles as men doctors.
