It's pretty equal, depending on gear/supplies, but I'd rather cold weather because you can start a fire and usually can find some form of frozen water to boil.

Depends on how extreme were talking.
You could freeze to death if you sleep outside in like -10°C. But you could make a fire. -30° with wind, your screwed unless you have shelter and equipment.
+30°C you could just find shade and sleep outside. 50°C, you need a water source and shelter.

I would think survival would be miserable but more doable in heat provided there’s vegetation and potable water around.

What kind of protection do you have? If you have enough warm clothes and adequate shelter you can survive cold very easily.

I can handle heat, but not cold. I'll figure out a way to survive in a hot place. I'll just curl up and die in a frozen spot.

Cold. But in civilization i prefer Winter to Summer.

id rather melt than freeze

In the wild the heat that will kill you is a wildfire.. The cold will kill you while you sleep.. However. The heat brings with it snakes, and biting insects (ask any Canadian) that can weaken you or blind you and you die just as died..😷

Both are bad but id say heat would be better than cold
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
It's equally lethal for the unprepared.
Musicman · 61-69, M
Much harder to survive in cold weather.
