"We accept the love we think we deserve." "You can't just sit there and put everybody's lives ahead of yours and think that counts as love." "I just want to make sure that the first person who kisses you loves you, ok?" "Oh my God! They're playing good music." "Can Charlie come out and play?" "He's a wallflower. You see things. You keep quiet about them. And you understand."
It ain’t about how hard you hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward; how much you can take, and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done!
@1sakuradoll08 actually when you are comfortable, you are in your comfort zone and nothing new can happen when you are in your comfort zone. You can’t grow in your comfort zone.
"Louis, I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship" from Casablanca because it shows up what true friendship and love can become between two people. They don't share similar backgrounds, nor political adherance, but they know how to stick together when the chips are down. Happy Halloween!
@HeSetMeFreeN63 Oh yes, that's another oldie that needs to be known more. A deeply moving meditation on independence and enduring love. Good choice to link it to my reply. It actually shows up Rex Harrison as an actor and leading man with heart. Great chemistry with Gene Tierney, plus an young Natalie Wood playing Lucy's daughter.
The tears in the rain soliquay from the end of blade runner... I have seen things you humans will never know....I have seen attack ships burning off the shoulder of Orion.... All these memories lost like tears in the rain.... Time to die...
“This great evil, where's it come from? How'd it steal into the world? What seed, what root did it grow from? Who's doing this? Who's killing us, robbing us of life and light, mocking us with the sight of what we might've known? Does our ruin benefit the earth, does it help the grass to grow, the sun to shine? Is this darkness in you, too? Have you passed through this night?”
"Mr. Madison, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul."
In the movie entitled Sweet Dreams The Patsy Cline story, the lady who played Patsy Cline's mother said that to Jessica Lange who played her daughter. I get the biggest kick out of that scene. The twinkle in Patsy's eyes it was too cute that was a great movie.
@1sakuradoll08 gah my hub makes me do all that even trench the 20' sewer line when we had to move our house uphill and reroute all the plumbing 🙄 it's like he thinks i'm superman or something. sigh
