The Rocky speech.

It ain’t about how hard you hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward; how much you can take, and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done!

Too bad Stallone turned into a MAGAt.
Mrnotsonew · 100+, M
@KimberKimKim that does not matter to them.
KimberKimKim · 31-35, F
@Mrnotsonew who was talking to you? I don’t remember bringing you up in this conversation.
Mrnotsonew · 100+, M
@KimberKimKim I was just agreeing with you. It is a public forum but you can FO

“Well there you are Augustus. I guess this’ll teach me to be more careful about what I promise in the future.”
@KimberKimKim promises are made to be broken.
"Well, here's another nice mess you've gotten me into!"

I like that quote because Stanley has brought calamity upon Ollie somehow which always leads to more mayhem.
@rinkydinkydoink I won't mind a NICE mess!

I'm going to see about a girl...
@SleepingWithGhosts "SOB, he stole my line.'' - Dr. Sean Maguire

Loved that. Epic finish to a powerful film.
@SleepingWithGhosts Have you seen your girl IRL? 😉

@MtnManJohn awesome quote
@MtnManJohn love that! Watched the movie too. In fact, I had that quote in my profile: "About Me".

I watched a snail crawl along the edge of a straight razor. Thats my dream...thats my nightmare; slithering along the edge of a razor and surviving.

Colonel Kurtz

Apocalypse Now 1979
Punxi · F
@JohnnySpot I watched that movie in 2014.

From Block Busters no less.

Then I owned and watched it many times.

Kurtz is why I majored in Developmental psychology.

🤷🏻
JohnnySpot · 56-60, M
@Punxi I have a photo that goes a little too far that I never seen in the movie.
It is Halloween if you would like to see.
JohnnySpot · 56-60, M
@Punxi This is Not the photo I am talking about.
jarrod73 · 51-55, M
John Wayne : comfortable, I’ve been called many things, but never comfortable.

Arnold Schwarzenegger, I’ll be back
@jarrod73 it's not good being uncomfortable.
jarrod73 · 51-55, M
@1sakuradoll08 actually when you are comfortable, you are in your comfort zone and nothing new can happen when you are in your comfort zone. You can’t grow in your comfort zone.
val70 · 56-60
"Louis, I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship" from Casablanca because it shows up what true friendship and love can become between two people. They don't share similar backgrounds, nor political adherance, but they know how to stick together when the chips are down. Happy Halloween!

@val70 I ♥♥♥ that movie!

Have You Ever Seen The Ghost and Mrs Muir
@HeSetMeFreeN63

If I may butt in... I have and it's a movie I'd recommend to everyone. The casting was perfect.
val70 · 56-60
@HeSetMeFreeN63 Oh yes, that's another oldie that needs to be known more. A deeply moving meditation on independence and enduring love. Good choice to link it to my reply. It actually shows up Rex Harrison as an actor and leading man with heart. Great chemistry with Gene Tierney, plus an young Natalie Wood playing Lucy's daughter.

Dead Poet's Society

That you are here—that life exists and identity. That the powerful play goes on, and you may contribute a verse.

''What will your verse be?''

- John Keating on O Me! O Life! by Walt Whitman.

@SethGreene531 Should my verse be poignant & poetic?

Open the pod bay doors, Hal!

Just one of those movies you get into or you don't. But if you doo, it gets deep..

The tears in the rain soliquay from the end of blade runner...
I have seen things you humans will never know....I have seen attack ships burning off the shoulder of Orion.... All these memories lost like tears in the rain.... Time to die...

Incredibly powerful

@Convivial Dekard B26354.. Long live Zhora!
@Convivial sad.. Nobody has to die.

“This great evil, where's it come from? How'd it steal into the world? What seed, what root did it grow from? Who's doing this? Who's killing us, robbing us of life and light, mocking us with the sight of what we might've known? Does our ruin benefit the earth, does it help the grass to grow, the sun to shine? Is this darkness in you, too? Have you passed through this night?”
@DDonde Aww... Very deep but those are the questions for truth!
Mikeawesome1986 · 36-40, M
"Mr. Madison, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul."

- Billy Madison. 1995.

I use this a lot in work.
@Mikeawesome1986 WOW! very blunt!

I don't even have to say it:

Just ignore the Iphone. 😅

Can you guess who said it?😆😂

[@1sakuradoll08

In the movie entitled Sweet Dreams
The Patsy Cline story, the lady who played Patsy Cline's mother said that to Jessica Lange who played her daughter. I get the biggest kick out of that scene. The twinkle in Patsy's eyes it was too cute that was a great movie.
@HeSetMeFreeN63 I like Jessica Lange..gonna check that movie!

sometimes we have to work for ourselves because there's no man for us unfortunately.. sigh 😳 ugh
@GoFish yeah, being independent is great, still wish there's a man with me. 🙄😕 That I can pester with my dependency on him.

Honey, clean the toilet, fix the sink, replace the faucets, unclog the drain... So I don't have to spend extra for a plumber. 😜🤭
GoFish ·
@1sakuradoll08 gah my hub makes me do all that even trench the 20' sewer line when we had to move our house uphill and reroute all the plumbing 🙄 it's like he thinks i'm superman or something. sigh
