On a scale of 1-10, 10 being the most difficult, how difficult is it to be MONOGAMOUS?

I never had any trouble with it...so...1.

MY troubles were the FRIENDS of my ex's who all tried hitting on me. I wasn't putting up with that, so I told the ex's about it.

I believe MOST women who are intelligent and of good upbringing might have a temptation or two in their lifetimes...so overall I will give it a 2.

For me..

4ish mostly because I have peculiar proclivities. When I find someone who matches it goes to a 1-2. When I don't or things change, it goes to a 9-10.

For others i think a 3 to 5

One now that I have matured and stopped seeking validation through men. 10 before I learned to respect myself.

1. It is not difficult at all for me. But I understand others don't always feel the same way.

Depends,I'd say in general for most men a 7-8,they will watch porn,follow girls pages on socials,secretly join dating apps,look at girls pics,even flirt or regularly chat with them lol. I feel like the internet and the easy/fast access to choice has made it especially easy to try to satisfy sexual gratification,validation, loneliness,whatever feelings make it hard for ppl to stay monogamous

Not hard for me. But if there was an opportunity that seemed safe enough I can’t say I won’t do it. But my marriage is open. But I have not tried. My wife did years ago.

I give it a 2 when you are with someone you truly love. There is a temptation from time to time, but more the curiosity. Well now I’m single again and will see if the right one comes into my life and makes it easy to be monogamous

Maybe 3 for me and I’m guessing 5-6 on average for others. But for some people it is difficult or impossible.

1 in any serious relationship. That's not going to be an issue that would cause problems.
Overall.. still a 1.

2 for me, 6 for others.

But then what I prefer to be and what can be tempting are at odds. I didn’t choose to be in a sexless marriage.

I only have one answer - and thats for me.
Sex isnt just sex for me - its a bonding of souls.
Its can't be purely physical, its the wholeness of who they are.... and who i am .

There just isn't room in all that for any part of someone else.

Its complete within itself.

I just belive we are all on our own separate journeys in life, to grow and find what we are looking for just meet other people. I know lots of people do not have this understanding.

How difficult is it to be monogamous? I would give it a solid 10.

Why? Because it isn't natural human nature to be monogamous. Certain bird species are monogamous to their mate whom they mate with for life, but most animals are not and neither are humans naturally monogamous.

Where the concept of 'monogamy' first came into being among humans was during the initial inception of Christianity during biblical times and was forced upon the uneducated masses by the church as a means to control sexually transmitted diseases which were rampant.
