@IM5688 I'm not ashamed in the slightest. if you perceive that as a flaw that's on you. I am doing nothing bad or immoral by hating ALL republicans. So whatever. I don't live my life to please you.

@PDXNative1986 I'm not asking you to please me at all. You are determined to hate Trump and all republicans no matter what. But how far do you take that hate? If your doctor is a republican, do you find another doctor? If the cop that saved your life were republican, would you hate them too? If either of your parents were republican, would you hate them as well? Do you have total and complete hatred for republicans, or is it a selective hate?

I don’t know if I qualify as one of the people your question is addressed to or not, let me explain. I think Trump is a terrible president, he’s also a crook, he has no character, no sense of humor, no charm, and I can’t understand why anyone would like him as a person or as a politician; that said, while I hate his politics, I don’t really hate him. I just want him out of our government. I would like to see him in prison because I think he belongs there. He escaped it primarily because he got elected president again, which allowed him to dismiss the criminal cases against him. But other than wanting him to go to prison for his crimes I don’t really hold any malice towards him. Make him stop wreaking havoc on our government and I’ll gladly forget about him.

Here's how I feel about Trump: he got away with the biggest con of all time. You know how you can treat some people's musings like confessions? You can in the case of Trump.
My first insight into his persona, was when I watched his pre presidential run, with Diane Sawyer. He was talking about Obama. She asked if he had proof that Obama was born in Kenya, and he said: no, but can you imagine what kind of a con he could be pulling on the world if he is?
I thought, wow, this Trump guy is a skilled con man.
And that's how I feel about him. I hate that I'm subjected to his con jobs, because enough of my fellow Americans voted for him, but when I mention here, it's always a factual story. The question you should ask yourself, why do you not care about getting conned by Trump, why don't you post proof that the stories about him are false?

@IM5688 i answered it, i would urge the criminal justice system, if one is left, to try him for his crimes. By the way i dont use the term hate often, since there is nothing worse. The question i see is the reverse. Trump and all of you who think he can do no wrong, seem to need someone to pick a fight with, what will you do once he is out of office? Who will you address your anger at then?

@samueltyler2 I never wrote/posted that Trump can do no wrong. There are many things I don't like about Trump too. As for his alleged crimes, many if not all of them have been dismissed or settled. And speaking of crimes, why don't you look into the Biden's, (both Joe and Hunter,) dealings with Ukraine? Why not look into all of their shell companies. At least Trumps business dealings are all out in the open.

I may be wrong, but in my lifetime at least, the only POTUS who has been anywhere as corrupt as Trump resigned to save the country from a trial and his removal from office! Trumps conflicts of interest, his ineptitudes are clear to see. That fact does not make them lesser crimes.

It's not safe to assume that someone who hates any specific person or thing will carry that on to any successor.
It implies harshly judging someone in advance of doing anything that might warrant such judgement in future - accusing the innocent of being guilty of something that has not yet happened and may never happen.
"Hating" (a very strong word) Donald Trump or any other major politician does not imply automatic "hatred" for anyone else in future.

@Waveney I agree, but sites like SW don't help because they thrive on extremes of emotion (one either "loves" or "hates" something even as mundane as pizza toppings).
It's their country, not mine; but there is just so much rancour among American users here talking about their domestic politics. There are exceptions, but otherwise there is little debate, nuance, understanding or concession on matters of state; just lots of insults.
