@soar2newhighs The insurrectionists should face the consequences of their actions to mount an insurrection and prevent the peaceful transfer of power. None of those offenses carry the death penalty. Those who were more involved should see stiffer penalties, and those who incited violence and planned the coup should face the harshest sentences. That should include any politicians who were involved, up to and including the President.

Clearly, he had an impact on those people. An hour and 11 minutes of talking, and he only told them to be peaceful once, right at the very start of his speech. And if you haven't watched the entire speech, don't tell me what's in it. I actually took the time and sacrificed a bit of my sanity and watched the whole damn thing.
