Could everyone please lay off Trump supporters??

Its counterproductive pointing out to them just how wrong they are..It only strengthens their need to defend their opinions against all logic and its hard enough without the rest of us rubbing it in.
They feel bad enough already.. Thank you. 😷
justanothername · 51-55, M
I find that ignoring anything they post tends to work best. None of it is worth reading anyway. Personally I don’t really care how they feel.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@justanothername While I understand how you feel, a lack of caring about the less fortunate is more a Republican position; dont you think?😷
justanothername · 51-55, M
@whowasthatmaskedman I care about the feelings of genuine people. I don’t care about the feelings of antagonists. Trump supporters tend to be antagonists.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@justanothername I also get many Pro Trump posts are trolls and attention seekers. Obviously they cant afford therapy, so they come here. But Political commitment to a position is strong in many Americans. It is after all the nation of "My Country, right or wrong."😷
Ontheroad · M
I tend to offer up factual information in rebuttal to their asinine posts, then refuse to argue with them and instead just hand them my card:

@Ontheroad This is my personal favourite:
iamonfire696 · 41-45, F
@Ontheroad I love that 🤭
ChipmunkErnie · 70-79, M
The sad thing is they still think they are right and the sun shines out his corrupt ass.
texasborn89 · 31-35, M
at least when trump was in office gas prices were low and we didn't have inflation 🙄🤦‍♂️

@bijouxbroussard the US education system really doesn't do good enough of a job of teaching economics, and making people retain what they learned
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@SW-User I would settle for kids being taught "Financial Literacy" in schools, so they know what money is and how to manage their own. Economics is really only housekeeping on a grand scale.😷
@SW-User
and making people retain what they learned

Learning, without retention, isn't.
On the other hand, people tend to take silence as assent. Continuing to shed light is not a such a bad policy because democracy dies in darkness.
iamonfire696 · 41-45, F
@ElwoodBlues agreed
CestManan · 46-50, F
You know when you are sitting in church and even though the preacher does not know you from Adam (pardon the pun) and then he starts in about what sinners you all are. He starts listing sins and as soon as he gets to your sin he stares right at you? You know that feeling?
This is how I felt when I read this post. 😁

Were you talking about ME but didn't want to name names?
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@CestManan I had no one specific in mind. I just genuinely feel that the social culture in much of America makes it hard to admit publicly when you have made an error, and people dig in, when they really should just pack up their tent and find another cause..😷
CestManan · 46-50, F
@whowasthatmaskedman We do need to be more sensitive, this picture will explain it -
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@CestManan "By George! I think you've got it"😷
Did you have a heart transplant?
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@Mamapolo2016 Not really. I just think there comes a time to stop flogging the dead horse. Even Trumps family are now just wishing he would shut up and go away so they could move on..😷
@whowasthatmaskedman To play the devil's advocate here, one could argue that Trump's candidacy in 2016 survived among 15 more mature more able more experienced candidates because no other republican was willing to point out his lies and his childishness and his race baiting. I'd hate to see that same mistake made again.

Even back in 2016 Lindsey Graham, Ted Cruz, Rand Paul, Marco Rubio, Nikki Haley, etc; they KNEW how bad Trump is/was [media=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P43wDpKQxaM]
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@ElwoodBlues Of course they did. But they were afraid of the Trump Brand..😷
Zaphod42 · 51-55, M
Arguments against someone’s opinions rarely works, even with the facts on your side. And I figure if the koolaid hasn’t worn off by now then they’re probably gonna be ride or die with Sweet Potato Hitler for life, so discussions are largely irrelevant anyway.
@Zaphod42 Sadly, you’re right, based on results. 🙁

Can you really try and claim you're any more intelligent to Trump supporters if you voted for Biden though?
the answer is no. You just come off like a damn fool
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@Torsten So Trump supporters arent human beings now?? I think maybe this conversation is over...😷
@whowasthatmaskedman It was never going to go any other way.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
You hit the mail on the head. @Torsten
Thinkerbell · 41-45, F
"Could everyone please lay off Trump supporters??"

Thinkerbell · 41-45, F
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@Thinkerbell So you agree.. Good...😷
Thinkerbell · 41-45, F
My question is where are the moderators at. People are getting the ban hammer for posting their own tits but you have people running around actually inciting people to violence in some cases and we get crickets.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Inasmuch as your constant trolling is designed to upset innocent readers by your logic you should be banned 😂 @PicturesOfABetterTomorrow
@jackjjackson That is pretty dumb and juvenile even for you.

But you seem to given even the most violent, foaming at the mouth right wing extremist here a pass.

This isn't some hurt feelings shit. Some people here have called for people to be hurt or murdered because of their deranged conspiracy theories.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
You give
the most violent, foaming at the mouth left wing extremists here a pass

The nonsense you type is childish for a six year old.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow
novaguy2u · 70-79, M
You can't use logic to defend the illogical.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@novaguy2u Which is why they deflect, redirect and abuse. And its difficult in the face of that not to reply aggressively. But someone has to be the grown up.😷
plungesponge · 41-45, M
I think we should try to convert Trump supporters into DeSantis supporters. If there's enough momentum there for DeSantis to challenge Trump, the shitfight is going to be hilarious
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@plungesponge The Republicans are going to be the big losers out of this, as the polls for the mid terms already show...😷
plungesponge · 41-45, M
@whowasthatmaskedman I think I've grown twisted and bitter about politics where I'm less invested into whether Trump or Desantis emerges from the swamp and mostly just morbidly curious how ridiculous it gets
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@plungesponge I understand the curiosity. But there are 300 million people out there trying to have a life.. How it goes does matter to most of them..😷
Dino11 · M
Athletic supporters? 😁
helenS · 36-40, F
I listen to Trump supporters, and right-wing people (which isn't always easy), and I try to understand the way they think; their mindset; their motivations.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@helenS There is so often more than one way to be right. Avoiding being wrong is the key to success..😷
helenS · 36-40, F
@whowasthatmaskedman Thank you! 🌷
Diotrephes · 70-79, M
@whowasthatmaskedman
Yes.. And showing them a little empathy is the right thing to do. Someone has to be an adult here.

Good for you if you can do that. However, I have no respect for anyone who kisses the lying orange traitor's ass.
spjennifer · 61-69, T
Oh yes, but it's just so much fun to get them all wound up to the point that they expose themselves as what they really are 🤪
summersmiles · 51-55, F
LEAVE TRUMP SUPPORTERS ALONE 😭😭😭
@summersmiles and Britney
JohnOinger · 41-45, M
They Are So brainwashed lol
cry me a river!!!
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
This is an excellent example of trolling for the uninformed.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@jackjjackson While you are here, is there anything you wish to actually contribute? Or is attracting attention enough for now?😷
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Calling you out as necessary is something I hope isn’t required so much. @whowasthatmaskedman
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@jackjjackson Sorry I am taking up so much of your time. And that your more worthwhile goals didnt pan out..😷
pdqsailor1 · 61-69, M
They feel bad enough already? I do not think that I can agree with this statement.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@pdqsailor1 I get that it is not easy to feel empathy with something that appears that deliberately stupid.. But junk yard dogs are trained to bite by their owners..Given a different opportunity they could have been loving pets..😷
pdqsailor1 · 61-69, M
@whowasthatmaskedman LOL... they hate everyone, because they were trained by their master to hate everyone...but its like they are wearing this big sign that says "kick me" on their backs..
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@pdqsailor1 I get your point. But if you keep kicking a dog it will keep biting..😷
Inflation is at a 40 year high, with no relief on the horizon. But Trump supporters are the fools. Modern life is full of false pretenses.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Threads like this are often written by the pretentious. @checkoutanytime
Thevy29 · 41-45, M
I can write what I want! Most of them can't read anyway.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@Thevy29 Maybe.. But is that their fault.? Some of the US States have schools that are more shooting galleries than learning institutions..😷
Riverman2 · 56-60, M
Spoken like someone truly decieved into thinking that they are a superior being.
NodandaWink · 51-55, M
I can agree with all but your conclusion. They don't feel bad at all.

Diotrephes · 70-79, M
@whowasthatmaskedman
But he doesnt make money. He loses it, then stiffs his suppliers while going bankrupt on them after stripping any cas out. He is about to pull the same stunt with his Trump Technologies, and his investors stand to lose everything (as usual)

That's excellent news. Maybe the dummies will lose their last penny.

@CestManan I agree the intensity of all this way out of hand. Trump aside;does anyone really believe that one man can solve a nations problems? Certainly not the problems America faces.
But putting Trump back into the frame, his flaws and failings are so great as to turn the majority of the nation (and the planet) against him. He is a paralysis tick on Americas jugular vein. And thats being generous.. I realise he is being followed as the Messiah by some, and thats not going to stop. But America really does need to focus on its more real and pressing issues..😷
