Hey Republicans, just because you're distancing yourself from Trump now doesnt get you off history's hook [I Think That Donald Trump Is Dangerous For This Country]

All your names have been recorded, and how you've enabled and protected and coddled him these last four years. Your descendants will know exactly where you stood at this time in history.
SW-User
@Strictgram it’s clear that no matter how many investigations were carried out, of which there were many, and no matter how many court cases were filed, of which there were many, there will still be people such as yourself who will be convinced that the election was neither free nor fair.

And the only reason you believe this is that Trump told you so.

Luckily, Trump is now irrelevant 😊 Look forward to liberal Biden (even though he is far from liberal) and just shut the fuck up 😎

Trump lost. Learn to cope 😎👍

@OggggO This is what you get from someone who supported killing women and children during his term of service in Vietnam, because they COULD have been carrying a bomb. Nothing he says surprises me.
Kwek00 · 41-45, M
@sunsporter1649 Moving the goal post again Sporter? Ah well, when you believe you are always right, then it's hard to read the article when it doesn't agree with you. Or even acknowledge the claim that you can't defend. Fuck Sporter, when you are this delusional, people should seriously considering buying you a new straight jacket and put some fluffy pillows against your walls.

I always picture Sporty dong this first :

And after a reply that refutes his point by point, using, you know, facts ground in reality as a basis for argument:

@OggggO sarcasm can be cleaver, but when sunsporter does it 🙄
OggggO · 36-40, M
@monte3 Oh I agree. But even the cleverest wit wears thin when repeated ad nauseam, let alone this dull drivel.
monte3 · 70-79, M
@OggggO that was the only responded to this. How many times can you use areasy weak joke. Infinite time according to sunspot.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
Actions have consequences, as the enablers and sycophants will find out. Too bad.
sunrisehawk · 61-69, M
Yes I heard that I'm now a domestic terrorist. If you weren't filled with hatred and ignorance, you might realize that the policies implemented over the past four years have done more for the average American than the previous four presidents.

President Trump isn't a perfect man but his policies were mostly excellent. I'm not afraid of history or those who have TDS.

Indeed, we need to do a better job of collectively remembering the past, because we keep letting the same people do the same shit over and over again. Just read this thread on twitter, and I am going to be pissed if all this goes down the same way:

@OggggO So many idiots commenting on this thread that failed history class which is why we are repeating it.
@Earthwrap it's the same thing again and again throughout history. A really bad human being captures the devout adoration of a segment of the population. Then a core group of politicians surround him and enable him. When it turns into destruction and humiliation history records everyone involved. In an unflattering light. This is reality. I'm surprised this is even controversial.
Earthwrap · 41-45, M
@robingoodfellow At least I'm making money off of betting against them on the predictit website. lol
JeanAnna · F
They should all be ashamed of themselves.
Curb your self righteousness.
@KrackerBash Curb your hypocrisy. During the civil rights marches Trump and his supporters were calling all of the protesters criminals because of the actions of some. The police were shooting peaceful protesters with rubber bullets.
Trump was calling for their slaughter by the National Guard.
The Capitol protesters actually breached the building before the police began shooting. If they’d been people of color, they’d all be dead now.
@bijouxbroussard You probably thought I was going to read this 😂
@KrackerBash At this point it’s moot. 🤷🏽‍♀️
WintaTheAngle · 41-45, M
If you Americans are going to move past this and find unity, score settling and name calling will need to stop.

If you scar people for past bad choices, they won’t change, they’ll just feel victimised and justified.
Lila15 · 22-25, F
@WintaTheAngle We are going to have to figure out how to deal with the 74 million people who voted for Trump, even if all of them aren't violent. But telling black people, young people, women, LGBTQ, immigrants, and people who aren't conservative Christians to sit down and shut up isn't going to work either.
OggggO · 36-40, M
@WintaTheAngle They’re going to prison.
@WintaTheAngle Germany didn't continue working with the nazi party. Why should Americans?
4meAndyou · F
Well, thank God for that. Because I am REALLY proud of where I stood, even though I was afraid of creeps like you.

If I didn't stand up for a good and decent President who kept his promises, and if I jumped ship or disavowed my President as so many of the Republican rats are doing, I would be making a statement that my beliefs and my vision for our country were worth nothing all along. And I would be stating that my thoughts and words were empty. They are not.
4meAndyou · F
@SW-User You are what is generously and most kindly known as an ass. I would probably add "bleeding" to your descriptor.
Strictgram · 70-79, C
@SW-User "Free and fair election?" That's a joke right. If it was so free why are liberals opposed to a fair and transparent investigation? Afraid what might be discovered?
Strictgram · 70-79, C
@SW-User "Free and fair" election? Then why of those of your ilk terrified of a genuine investigation?
Earthwrap · 41-45, M
Here is a good list of names.

You mean history revisionists and cancel culture only works one way? Damn 😂

@Strictgram
"Free and fair" election? Then why of those of your ilk terrified of a genuine investigation?
Well, I think then a lot of your "ilk" are also terrified of an investigation, seeing as the vast majority of Republican Senators decided not to investigate either.

That would then open up the question as to how the Republicans somehow managed to increase their representation in the House when all the polls said they wouldn't. Veeeery fishy, if you ask me.

After all, I read somewhere that a load of ghosts and demons had actually been voting for Republican Senators and House members, while somehow not voting for Trump. It's the only reason I can think of, apart from the possibility that perhaps a lot of Republicans generally approved of their policies, but hated Trump (surely that's not right).

And of course, there is no way that Cruz's crusade is inspired by raising money for his own Presidential ambitions and currying favour with Trump and his base of patriotically easy marks.

So yes, I think the only reason that this ridiculous demand for a (completely non-biased, of course) 10-day audit was laughed out of both chambers was the fact that a commission would also have to have been set out to investigate possible supernatural influences by ghosts and demons who somehow doctored the votes.

After all, 45% of Americans believe in ghosts and demons - far more than the mere 39% who think that perhaps, possibly, the election was rigged.

Still, maybe this should have happened. There’s equal evidence supporting the formation of both these commissions after all...

Um, that's a hugely dick post!

Even coming from people didn't support Donald Dump
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
Republicans will pay a far steeper price than you imagine.. They have enjoyed a favourable treatment in elections, often losing the popular vote and still winning.. But I suspect the next couple of years are going to see that stranglehold loosened.. And they can thank Trump for the will of the people to do that. 😷
OggggO · 36-40, M
@Stereoguy "Not the Capitol" is what I assume you were saying before you blocked me, since I can't read your whole message. Too bad for you that you're wrong.

@Invocations Did I call any names or express any hatred ? You’re correct in one sense, you don’t understand the situation at all. Perhaps it is because you don’t live here. But I guess always assumed that some things are a question of right vs. wrong. We had an election, and the incumbent lost. It’s not the first time that’s happened.
It is, however, the first time a sitting president has:

made unfounded, unproven claims of voter fraud,

called state officials imploring them to “find extra votes” or “throw existing votes out” in order to overturn the election results

filed 28 challenges (all thrown out) in court

divisively claimed that those who voted against him were disloyal to our country

And this week, went as far as using social media to encourage his supporters to attack the government. All because he wasn’t re-elected.

So if you can’t grasp why people are upset about this (and incidentally people in both “camps” as you put it, disapprove of his behavior now) l really don’t know what to tell you. 😳
