Actually last night. Had a retirement going away party for someone I've worked with (same department but different workgroup) for nearly 35 years. It was great to see a good crowd and some retirees that I haven't seen in a while.

Years ago, I have never been much of a drinker but the atmosphere at some bars is great and you never know.

5 years ago--the traditional office happy hour kinda thing.

Before the work at home thing tech companeis are notorious for having bars and happy hours in their building. I worked at 3 companies in the last 20 years that did that.

Between COVID, my age and work at home I just stopped being a bar person.

1991. I was beginning a new job and I did that thing of going out with coworkers after work. I had a club soda and lime. I began playing in bands in bars when I was seventeen and I never liked being around drunk people.

I was underage I know that. I walked in just to get a glass of water because I had been walking in the heat for hours it felt like

Tuesday night we had steaks and chips and a few drinks

For a long time I was averaging once a week but it's not often at all now.

Last summer. I was told this restaurant was really good. When I got there it was a bar. I decided to try it. I ordered a steak and cheese sub. It wasn't special.
