It REALLY scares me knowing the far right is in power! 😭😭😭 It gives me anxiety because I have a disabled son and mildly autistic daughter and I have autism myself and not only that but the amount of poverty in this country is sooooo heartbreaking that the last thing this country needs is a far right government but sadly lots of Americans disagree! 🤦♀🤦♀🤦♀ I wish we had universal healthcare and did a better job at looking after those below the poverty line and to cut programs that help poor people just to give the rich more money is horrible in my opinion but as Jesus said "it is easier for a Camel to walk though the eye of a needle than a rich person to enter the Kingdom of God" so I think if we are a Christian nation we should do better to look after the vulnerable, poor, disabled, elderly and children! 😔😔😔

@MommyLucy The far right aren't power. What your seeing is the moderates using common since to reestablish many needed policies and properly account for the tax dollars being spent.
MommyLucy · 36-40, F
@nudistsueaz Republicans are definitely not moderates they are far right! 😭😭😭 Democrats are centre left by American standards but centre right by European standards and by European standards Republicans are so far to the right they look crazy! 😔😔😔 I support Bernie Sandars and AOC and with the amount of poverty in this country we should spent more to help others less fortunate not give tax breaks to the rich when the poor are sadly suffering! 🙄🙄🙄

@MommyLucy A greater worry is that Democrats have wiped out the micro-economy in America. And a drug economy has moved in to replace it. So the way out of poverty now is to start selling illegal drugs on a street corner rather than raising chickens and selling eggs. The micro-economy sustained us through the great depression and grew into the macro economy.

@MommyLucy How much of bernie the red's millions is going to help the needy?
MommyLucy · 36-40, F
@sunsporter1649 Bernie Sandars and AOC both advocate for universal tax paid free healthcare like the UK's NHS and the healthcare system in place in other first world countries like Canada which would give the poor the same quality healthcare as the rich which is how it should be! 😇😇😇
nudistsueaz · 61-69, F
@MommyLucy I think it's the same in most places. Maybe not 3rd world countries.
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@MommyLucy Still did not mention how much of their own money they are putting in the pot, but they sure adore spending other peoples money
MommyLucy · 36-40, F
@sunsporter1649 Bernie advocates for free healthcare paid by taxes so while he may be rich he unlike Republicans is willing to pay taxes to give the poor free tax paid healthcare! 😇😇😇 Also Bernie is not a billionaire and I have no problem with millionaires but at some point enough is enough and making billions is WAY too much when we have homeless people, people without healthcare and starving kids in the world! 😭😭😭
Heartlander · 80-89, M
@MommyLucy I consider myself a conservative and likewise believe I universal health care I also believe in private health care. Obamacare is just a plan to cost shift to healthy people and people with more money. What it does achieve is to make health care unaffordable for more and more people. Sanders Medicare for all is an appeal to people who are clueless about Medicare.
MommyLucy · 36-40, F
@Heartlander I believe healthcare shouldn't be based on income but compassion, empathy and care for others which is why I think Medicare for All would be perfect! 😇😇😇

@MommyLucy The day after I see bernie the red sitting next to me at the free clinic awaiting treatment I will buy into your bullschifdf

Bernie Sanders has spent literal decades trying to get the government to raise his own taxes so that everyone can have healthcare.
Seriously, he's the last person you should accuse of being insincere. Sanders got arrested and went to jail because he marched against segregation. He stood up for gay soldiers in a time where it was super unpopular to fight for gay rights. Sanders is the real deal.

@BohemianBabe Nothing stopping bernie the red from writing the government a big fat check, now is there?
BohemianBabe · M
@sunsporter1649 Charity is fine, but systemic problems require systemic solutions. Writing the government a check isn't going to provide every single American with free healthcare. Without single payer healthcare as a law, we couldn't even guarantee that this hypothetical check would be used for healthcare.
MommyLucy · 36-40, F
@BohemianBabe Thank you soooo much and I agree with you 100% about Bernie Sandars! 🤗🤗🤗
BohemianBabe · M
@MommyLucy Some people disagree that single payer healthcare would work well. And that's alright, we can have that discussion, we can disagree. But when people try to argue that Sanders isn't sincere in his beliefs, that's just an eyeroll.

@BohemianBabe I agree sooooo much with you about Bernie Sandars and I know not everyone agrees but I believe in universal healthcare with all my heart! 💖💖💖
BohemianBabe · M
@sunsporter1649 Yes, Sanders doesn't need to go to the free clinic because he's rich. However, because he believes healthcare is a human right, he spent decades trying to raise his own taxes so we can have single payer healthcare.
I don't need free healthcare either, but I'm willing to pay more in taxes too so that other people can have security in their healthcare.

@MommyLucy many believe in it but refuse to pay for it
ron122 · 41-45, M
@BohemianBabe Your parents pay for your healthcare. You don't even work so you sure as hell don't pay taxes.
BohemianBabe · M
@ron122 I make money off of stocks and land rental, both of which I do pay taxes on. But like Bernie Sanders, I'm willing to pay more taxes in both of my countries so that the workers can have free healthcare.
There comes a point where you make enough money that getting more money doesn't increase your happiness anymore. What does increase happiness is community, relationships, being actualized.
