I think you probably believe a lot of things that aren't true. Or you just don't care.

@lomaine
You posted one receipt from five years ago and called it proof? Are you saying that tariffs don't raise the price of consumer goods? Yes or no will suffice. They either raise the cost or they don't. If they don't raise the cost then either the importer or the manufacturer is paying the cost. That's just not happening.
Come on man.
this whole tariff falls on the consumer lie is being disprove in front of you

@MoveAlong 5 years ago? Here's the root of the problem you're hard wired to be argumentative no matter how it makes you look. This was clearly stated from December. Like i said high end goods worth importing is not what's going up it's the cheap junk you can go without. It's not about raising cost it's about what you're importing.

@NerdyPotato @lomaine @bookerdana @Elessar USA, since the beginning of its political life had been A nation in building. Any Nation is characterized by four or five pillars.
1) territory - USA has it
2) 1 common language - USA has it
3) people unified by a sense of oneness - No, USA does not have it reason being historically, USA is made up of entire Europe and minor Africans. USA was thriving when they had
A) A family culture
B) Devotion towards Common God
C) A sense of strong future
D) Brotherhood even with differences
Back then in 1800s, transportation was not fast. People who settled paid their devotion to USA. They were Dudes by their heart.
People from Africa had to be given Birth rights because they contributed in the making of The USA.
But now, As transportation has become fast and rapid. The original people who made USA a nation, they are affected by high cost of living along with democrats surging people from third, fourth, fifth worlds into USA as if Dudes can not work for themselves. This is gradual introduction of cheap Labour to replace the working population. Democrats are very wrong here. People who worked their whole life to make USA a great Nation. They had kids, grand kids and these people are obsolete now. Every street, you find Chinese. Why would a guy from China or any other Nation, in this age, pay respect to The American culture and American People? For Democrats, it's all about The votes in favour. The more mixing, the more votes in favour, till the first World is no longer the first world.
Regarding prices, USA has always been dependent on Petroleum products. Democrats structurally shifted from petroleum to solar products. Solar manufacturing need Chip sets - Go to China and Taiwan. Republicans wanted Taiwan factories in USA so that China, in future does not have control over chipset manufacturing.
Now, what USA was doing was conducting R&D for solar products, solar cells and other alternatives knowing fully well that USA has enough petroleum for its future needs unlike China and other Nations. And more than petroleum, research is on Nuclear fusion reactors. If and when they come, they will make solar and wind power obsolete instantly.
So, Other Nations are transiting and keeping the cost of transit somewhat upon USA by asking its govt to provide subsidy on Research and development.
Now DJT and others have a different opinion. If tomorrow, the shift is to be made to nuclear fusion, why get to the transition zone and increase the cost of living for every US inhabitant. They plan to shift directly from petroleum to nuclear fission/fusion and thereby not putting the cost of R&D on US population, at the same time, putting measures so that USA increase its population and not be dependent on other nations for importing workers who build their ratholes in USA at a very steady pace, now fast tracked. Special thanks to Obama on this issue.
Now USA takes indirect control of Venezuela and blocks Strait of Hormuz, Sanctions Russia. There is still very much dependency on oil products as solar industry is sustainable for Africa and Middle East with high Sun light but it is a scam for USA. Now, demand is more and one of the major supply is The USA. Purchase oil from USA and return back every single penny which you took from USA in the name of subsidy, back to USA.
Those who understand it are intelligent. To rest of the people, Next time.
This is My political Science commentary.

They!re doing very well.
It's instructive that the most popular mutual funds offering global stocks are now those that expressly omit american stocks.

@newjaninev2 what's really telling is the difference between the most successful and the most popular. But at least your investment seem to be doing as well as mine
newjaninev2 · 56-60, F
@lomaine In this case the popularity of those particular funds is raising the asking price, making them too expensive.
A common problem. People ignore fundamentals - which will become apparent with US stocks.

If you focus on the outcome of Trump's policies and that people are being affected in bad ways from it, it kind of seems like a reasonable reaction. Also, online is only online... you don't really know how people choose to spend their time outside of online.
Saying people have TDS is more of a way of trying to get away with not identifying what Trump is doing and trying to take heat off of him at the same time. Distract and gaslighting creates an effective illusion if you can make the other seem crazy.
Spouses do similar in relationships, the very act of going inbetween normal and crazy making is meant to confuse the subjects so they stay in the abuse. Gaslight and then have things be normal, makes the abuse victim confuse the two.
A lot of what Trump does and Maga mirrors that to abusive relationships.
throwing a tantrum for over 10 years is not normal behavior. Regardless of what side of politics you lean.

@SatanBurger most adults are capable of understanding and coping with election results, regardless of the outcome. But I have never seen anything similar to this. Ever. I have never seen a single user here constantly complain, grief over a democratic candidate as I've seen users do that with Trump. I'm not arguing for any side, I'm simply making an observation of irregular behavior of adults. What's concerning is that even when he wasn't the POTUS, people still were contempt with him.
It is regressive behavior. If any democratic candidate was treated the same, I'd make the same observation. That has yet to happen. The fact that I have multiple users argue/dislike my comment(yourself included) proves the tribalism on this platform.

You're saying if Obama had ignored federal judge's orders like over 200 times now, you'd say this is fine and the criticism is nothing other than ODS (Obama derangement syndrome?) Trump has massively disrespected federal judges even Reagan appointed judges.
Case in Point: Federal judges like William G. Young and John Coughenour—both appointed by Reagan decades ago - have issued blistering rulings against the administration's actions. Judge Young explicitly warned in a 161-page decision that the administration’s overreach poses a direct threat to the Constitution and the First Amendment.
The truth is no democratic candidate has ever done AS MUCH overreach as Trump has, point blank so proportionality matters.
If a Democratic president had 91 criminal charges, suggested suspending parts of the Constitution, and joked about being a dictator on day one, the conservative reaction would make the current left-wing anxiety look incredibly mild.
Furthermore, the claim that conservatives don't "constantly complain or grief" over Democrats is historically blind. Conservative media and voters spent four years treating Joe Biden’s stumble on a bicycle as proof of total civilizational collapse, spent eight years convinced Barack Obama was a secret foreign-born radical plotting to overthrow America, and have spent thirty years continuously investigating and complaining about Hillary Clinton.
You are looking at a thermometer, seeing a temperature of 103°F, and blaming the thermometer for acting "irregularly" instead of acknowledging that the patient has a massive infection. People talk about him because he does things no other modern president has:
He is the first former president in U.S. history to be criminally indicted and convicted of felonies.
He is the first in modern history to actively attempt to overturn a certified election.
He is the first to have his own former cabinet members, top generals, and Vice President openly declare him a danger to the Constitution
He also got rejected by his own VP pick as well, Mike Pence.
Unprecedented actions cause unprecedented public reactions. If a Democratic president did even a fraction of those things, the reaction from the right would be just as loud period

@ElwoodBlues Trump has tried #11, he just failed at it for the same reason Giorgia Meloni failed to do Fascism in Italy. Modern Fascists don't actually believe in Fascism, so they're unwilling to risk their lives the way the original Fascists did. This is definitely a good thing, but the Right is still doing massive damage economically.
