American Eagle ran an ad based on eugenics just now

Literally Nazi eugenics is wild, talks about Sydney Sweeny having great "jeans" (genes) because she has blue eyes and is white 🙄

Good catch on her part, and yours, for bringing it to our attention. "We" finding things like this, and exposing them for what they truly are, is why MAGA hates social media, and want it controlled by the government, and are willing to give up their liberty to protect their little feelings from being hurt by suppressing free speech.

My girlf loves that brand, she brings tons of it back from America every year!!
Nah, that's an overreaction. I get being extra cautious living under a fascist government, but this is ridiculous. The last thing the Left needs right now is a return of the SJW lunacy.
@SatanBurger It's not, but we have no choice if we want to win elections.

I don't believe that most Leftists are anti-white, but I do wish the Left called out anti-white racism when it appeared, and this is one of the reasons. It's similar to my take on any kind of bigotry. Don't talk about trans issues, talk about economics, but when someone actually is being transphobic, call them out. If we had that attitude on race, and we applied it equally, Trump would have lost in 2016.

@BohemianBabe Those are good points

See, the problem is, anti-white racism is viewed a lot of the time as punching up, because it kind of is. Like, I've experienced racism, but it was mostly just "Mexican fast food employee pretends I'm not standing there and then serves his Mexican buddies who come in after I walk in", or "DOC cells me up with a black guy who really doesn't want a white cellie". Whereas most of the stories I've heard from racial minorities experiencing racism have been things like "white woman calls the cops on innocent black kid who's just riding his bicycle in front of her house" or "white person gets celebrated by the alt right for calling a 5 year old kid a n*****" or "white kid takes a semi-automatic weapon to a BLM protest in the next state and gets pardoned for shooting protesters".

The French call that a double entendre (word w 2 meanings )
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
@AthrillatheHunt Yeah that's why people have an issue with it. It's a dog whistle.
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@AthrillatheHunt @SatanBurger Fun fact, not to detract from the nasty implications of all this. There's also a mixed drink called a double entendre. The name of it is a double entendre as well.
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
@LordShadowfire oh wait haha I had to look that up, was curious

"Sydney Sweeny's got great jeans (genes)"

A pun made in an ad campaign. 10 ppl on X want you to believe this add is racist/eugenics : AE ad = Bad Pun = Nazi(?) lol ok

Before this ad campaign Sydney Sweeney was a top actor in America. Now, Sydney Sweeney made big $$$ starring in a (now controversial) ad campaign for AE and is still a top actor in America.

Am I a bad person for not being outraged by this? 🤷‍♂

Full disclosure: I used to think Sydney Sweeney was very attractive. I stil do, but I used to too.

Proof:

@tenente
But again, I'm glib because it's an ad for clothing and not a policy platform or proposed legislation.
Okay, but here's the problem. You see it as just an ad for clothing, but it's another piece of a multimedia campaign to normalize white supremacy. It's only one small piece, and taken by itself, it can easily be dismissed as insignificant. But it's still a piece of a campaign.
tenente · 36-40, M
@LordShadowfire yep, that's a problem.
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
@tenente What do you mean? I'm not mad that she makes big money. But they could have framed the commercial differently, we do have a rise in nazism, it's a bad time to play like that

I fail to see why Sydney Sweeney was chosen by American Eagle to be their poster girl who represents the Nazi ideology of puritan-like Aryan genes?

Sydney Sweeney is Caucasian but she is not Nordic, which is where Aryan purity was derived from in Hitler's fascist ideology which otherwise formed the basis of the Master Race theory behind Hitler's fascist Germany.

Sydney Sweeney is not blonde-haired either, she is actually a natural brunette.

Additionally, her eyes are not blue, nor are they green. Anyone born as a natural brunette does not have blue eyes.

@LordShadowfire Changing other people's quotes is dishonorable. You have brought great shame to your tribe and now must leave the village in shame.
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@BohemianBabe I appreciate you taking my reply with a grain of salt. That's one thing I like about you, even when I think you're full of it.

Remember when Under Armor did a whole nazi rally ad back in 2010?
